I am going nuts, I read up on how to create a custom morph and replace my save game character with that pic, but I cannot figure out how to replace the Presets during character creation.  Its driving me nuts.

you need to us a MOP file. If you're wondering how you export a creation into the character creator from the toolset. Under the export settings, in the window were you tweak the face appearances, change the tab into true, for exporting a mop file.

But if you already have a mod file, then all you have to do is rename it, remember, everything is abbreviated, you have to change the mop file name into this

human male p01---first preset face
hm_cps_p01

human female
hf_cps_p01

elf male
em_cps_p01

elf female
ef_cps_p01

Dwarf Male
dm_cps_p01

Dwarf female
df_cps_p01

the numbers p01, there are in total 9 default faces in each gender/face I think. You count the number of that face you want to change, and hell change it. the number increase p01 p02 p03 p04 p05 p06 p07 p08. Remember the 0 is a zero (the number, not the letter). For some odd reason, you can change the face only up to 8, and I mean you cannot change the bald head default face, even if you put hm_cps_p09, it will not change.

Plus you drop your MOP file into the override folder, located in your

Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\packages\\\\core\\\\override

whatever mor file or mop file you export from your toolset, should be found in a folder called

toolsetexport

Anyway I pretty much figure this mop file character creator business on my own. And I was pissed that no one would help me. So just to let you know, that there are some people out there who are willing to help on these forums. Don't think you're alone in these things. Anyway good luck with your mop file character creator thing, hope what I said helped ^_^

It's under the "Export Settings" tab in the morph options. Just set "Export .mop file" to true, then export the morph as normal.

^ Tori if you made her with the in game sliders I don't think it's possible. At least no one has found a way. It seem it must be possible to extract the slider values from your save game somehow though. I hope someone clever figures it out.

How exactly are you going about doing the face change? Sometimes changing the faces out doesn't play nice with the new features. There are a few different face changing mods on the Dragon Age Nexus site my favorite having been this one:

http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=428

I don't think I have experienced any problems with it.

As for your second one, are you trying to open the mop file in the toolset? You won't be able to open the mop file and alter the character in the toolset unfortunately, if that is what you are trying to do.

Just a recommendation and shameles plug for myself, check my projects and take a look at my beginners guides. They'll probably help answer a lot of questions.

Just a question....when i put the preset ive created in-game, eyes makeup and blush make up disappear......and nose changes it's shape.....why that? How to solve it? It's very annoying, because the face i have in-game it's quite different from the one i created :D

thanks

edit: oh thanks, ok, i'll give a look at your guides :o

Are you making these characters in the separate downloadable character creator or the toolset?

@Vertix~ It sounds like you are exporting a mor file, that was not set to False. When that happens all of the settings are erased. A mop file is used for the in game CC,

A mor file when set in the toolset to false and exported then put into a savegame will not lose it's features. Does that make sense? I had the same issues when starting out, and just had to play around with it till I figured out what the heck I was doing wrong.

Hope that helps.
