Uploading characters and achieveements to online profile

I have dial up at home and it sucks, but worse is that even when i go online, it will not update my caracters and achievements to the online profile. Is there any special way to do this? Or am i stuck not having it online? Cause that would kinda suck.

My statistics do not get uploaded either, although it shows me online. I am on a high speed connection.

My only thoughts on the matter have been maybe it is because I was not online when I first started my character, but I really can't say.
I would hope that Bioware would add an UPDATE button, that would be helpful.
