Indigo Prophecy- When he is remembering his old ex-girlfriend. (Reminded me of a girl I used to know)
Silent Hill 2- The ending…the right one.
Longest Journey – The ending.
Mafia- The ending

Each one is quite sad and joyful at the same time; even to the point of getting some unexpected conversations like Oghren being really serious.
My fave from that section is Morrigan both as friend and even more, as lover; it´s just great to thank her and see how she feels so sad...

Aerith's death is highly overrated.

Mass Effect
No game, movie or book has done that to me before or since

PS: FF7 people, Final Fantasy 5 did it first and did the "death of an important party member" better, more appropriate timed and not on the FIRST BLOODY DISC.
Aerith's death is highly overrated.
Good thing that's your opinion and it's WRONG!
MWHAHAHA!
Doing it "first" doesn't mean doing it "right". If I want to play the one-up game I can go with FFIV when Tellah died. But the point is not who did it first, the point is which scene moved me. And Tellah didn't move me the way Aerith's death did. So there....

Actually FFII did it first with Minwu, Josef, Ricard, and Scott dying. None of them were very meaningful deaths, but they were the first Final Fantasy party member deaths.

ME2, right at the beginning. Yes, the beginning, shut up and let me explain. Oh, and stop reading if you don't want ME2 spoilers.
I love the Normandy, I think it is one f the sleekest, coolest looking ships ever conceived and going through ME1 made me grow very attached to both ship and crew. The opening scene of ME2 with the Normandy cruising triumphantly through space made me feel immediately happy....followed by shock and horror as it got wtfpwned.
I was actually really upset, and all throughout the attack on the Lazarus base I was still kind of pissed off. When they unveiled the new Normandy I was actually choked up. It was a really well done and unexpect scene. Truly moving.

ok, got some.
Breakdown, the end of the game, when you hold out your hand to Alex as she's sucked back through time (sorry for spoilers, but odds are if you haven't played it you probably never will) - really, that whole game is so immersive on a level that almost no other game gets close to, and I still feel it's one of the best sci-fi stories in a game ever. There are several really moving moments in the game, but the end when you make your choice and take Alex's hand...
Yeah, that was a big one.
Noctropolis, at the end when you find out the truth but Stiletto still believes in you, I think I was teary-eyed.
Wing Commander 3. Angel. 'nuff said.
Final Fantasy 3/6 - The opera scene. So beautifully done.
Halo 3 - I didn't QUITE cry, but I had grown fond of Cortana and when you reunite with her, I think I was a little misty.
and I know I'm missing stuff. I'm sure there were moments in games like The Suffering and Beyond Good and Evil that moved me, but I can't remember exactly what right now.
I know I'm forgetting some.
There were moments in ME1 & 2 that pushed me, same with Dragon Age and KotOR, especially to feelings of triumph or sympathy - but I don't think actual tears or even close.

Playing it with the lights of, with my massive headphones, and on massive volume.
And then a ****ing snork jumps out at me.
Didn't cry, but my eyes were watering from the laughing that came after my intensley girly squealing.

Actually - GTA IV almost did. Those who've completed it will know the two ways the end can go, and I got the sad one.
