Planescape Torment- During the “Regret” section. Also, when he discovers about his past and discovers the things he has done to hurt Deionnara…and the ending of Planescape Torment.

Indigo Prophecy- When he is remembering his old ex-girlfriend. (Reminded me of a girl I used to know)

Silent Hill 2- The ending…the right one.

Longest Journey – The ending.

Mafia- The ending

Not really craying but emotional too are the farewells in Denerim´s gates in DA:O.

Each one is quite sad and joyful at the same time; even to the point of getting some unexpected conversations like Oghren being really serious.

My fave from that section is Morrigan both as friend and even more, as lover; it´s just great to thank her and see how she feels so sad...

PS: FF7 people, Final Fantasy 5 did it first and did the "death of an important party member" better, more appropriate timed and not on the FIRST BLOODY DISC.

Aerith's death is highly overrated.

Hehe, I still remember the first time I finished The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time... It was so beautiful! (I was ten years old back then :P) I sooo wanted Link and Zelda to kiss each other! >_<

And yes, I cried a little :P

Bioshock 1 good guy ending moved me to tears. Still the best ending in a game for me.

In Jade Empire, the Water Dragon and Tien's Landing (open palm) scenes affected me.

Only once, I shed a couple of tears because it was an emotional end to an epic journey which I got deeply engrossed in and I still feel strongly about.

Mass Effect

No game, movie or book has done that to me before or since

Good thing that's your opinion and it's WRONG!

MWHAHAHA!

Doing it "first" doesn't mean doing it "right". If I want to play the one-up game I can go with FFIV when Tellah died. But the point is not who did it first, the point is which scene moved me. And Tellah didn't move me the way Aerith's death did. So there....

Actually FFII did it first with Minwu, Josef, Ricard, and Scott dying.  None of them were very meaningful deaths, but they were the first Final Fantasy party member deaths.

I am a manly rooster so no. Maybe tugged at my heartstrings but never a tear.

Of course I remember when Resident Evil 2 came out playing it in the dark (and high) had me jump a few times.

You know what game was srprisingly moving? People will think I am nuts...

ME2, right at the beginning. Yes, the beginning, shut up and let me explain. Oh, and stop reading if you don't want ME2 spoilers.

I love the Normandy, I think it is one f the sleekest, coolest looking ships ever conceived and going through ME1 made me grow very attached to both ship and crew. The opening scene of ME2 with the Normandy cruising triumphantly through space made me feel immediately happy....followed by shock and horror as it got wtfpwned.

I was actually really upset, and all throughout the attack on the Lazarus base I was still kind of pissed off. When they unveiled the new Normandy I was actually choked up. It was a really well done and unexpect scene. Truly moving.

I was trying very hard to think of games that brought me to tears - I'm a wussy sentimental kinda guy when it comes to fiction so it doesn't take much, but I'm scratching my head trying to think of a moment in a game that moved me so much. I'm trying here -

ok, got some.

Breakdown, the end of the game, when you hold out your hand to Alex as she's sucked back through time (sorry for spoilers, but odds are if you haven't played it you probably never will) - really, that whole game is so immersive on a level that almost no other game gets close to, and I still feel it's one of the best sci-fi stories in a game ever. There are several really moving moments in the game, but the end when you make your choice and take Alex's hand...

Yeah, that was a big one.

Noctropolis, at the end when you find out the truth but Stiletto still believes in you, I think I was teary-eyed.
Wing Commander 3. Angel. 'nuff said.
Final Fantasy 3/6 - The opera scene. So beautifully done.
Halo 3 - I didn't QUITE cry, but I had grown fond of Cortana and when you reunite with her, I think I was a little misty.

and I know I'm missing stuff. I'm sure there were moments in games like The Suffering and Beyond Good and Evil that moved me, but I can't remember exactly what right now.

I know I'm forgetting some.

There were moments in ME1 & 2 that pushed me, same with Dragon Age and KotOR, especially to feelings of triumph or sympathy - but I don't think actual tears or even close.

Dragon Age, noble human origin. Leaving your mum and dad to die. And then the battle at Ostagar.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl

Playing it with the lights of, with my massive headphones, and on massive volume.

And then a ****ing snork jumps out at me.

Didn't cry, but my eyes were watering from the laughing that came after my intensley girly squealing.

No, not really.

I'm made of stone :|

Actually - GTA IV almost did. Those who've completed it will know the two ways the end can go, and I got the sad one.

A few games got my eyes all misty and produced some tears

Xenogears got me a few times

yes FFVII, dont care i still got blown away by her death

Shadow of the Colossus especially towards the end

MGS 2 and 3 and the ending of 4

chrono cross in the undersea tower was pretty sad

ME2 Tali nuff said

Parasite Eve had a moment

Silent Hill 1 when you find out the nurse is dead and you run from her

Valkyrie Profile when Lenneth finds out her true past

Ico when you see the princess at the end

Silent Hill 2 when you witness the mercy killing of his wife

that's pretty much it for me, loved those scenes
