Yep because we videogamers are such a manly bunch I have decided to ask the question has a videogame ever made you cry? The idea came from somebody who posted a thread on the ME forums asking whether anyone actually cried in ME1 or ME2 and to my surprise quite a few people were moved to tears.
So I decided to ask, has a videogame ever made you cry?
While neither ME1 or ME2 were able to make me cry there has been one game that managed to bring a tear to my eye and that was MGS3. It was at the end of the game where Snake faces his old mentor the Boss, it is sad because while everyone thought that she betrayed her country she was in fact a patriot to the very end following her orders and that she was just a mere pawn used to help those in power stay in power.
It also comes back to the question Snake asks her at the start of the game about how to think like a soldier, think of it as her final lesson to her pupil about the harsh reality of the duty of a soldier, loyalty to the mission and nothing else.
Heh I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it.
But anyway has a videogame ever moved you to tears and if so which game?
First off...I want to dispel a rumour...not all gamers are manly men...really...honest...cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die.
My first and second time killing the archdemon in DA:O was quite an emotional experience...for me, yes I cry at good movies..will name one here..Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. I even cried watching E.T.
I cry when other people cry...I guess thats called empathy...something you see little of ..these days on the internet. Nobody cares.....is the chant.
One more thing......I am a female gamer. And yes..DA:O moved me to tears...twice.
