Already explained this, it's not about the help, it's about people continuing to talk without backing up anything they said then poking fun at people for not having any clue about what to do about things they were never told that they have no way of knoing. That's what this is about.I just noticed he said he didn't want any help in the first post while now he's complaining why nobody offered him help
I do not care about teh rgenade launcher or where it is and i'm not complaining abotu not getting help because I already said i don't care. You are now just being a total douche trying to keep a non existant argument going that isn't even what the reason is.
Now onto this

While holding shift you can move your screen around if you at the same time hold right mouse button and move your mouse around.. thats how you aim.. just look at what you want to use power on.. click power you want and let go of shift.
Your joking right? Explain to me how the hell was I and how the hell am I supposed to know that?
I... dont' know where you pulled that information, who told you that, where you read it or any of that, because what you just said on both of those is not explained anywhere at all?
There is no way in hell I ever would of even remotely though of doing that...no way!
It just goes to show you that it's exactly what I said:
BioWare has no concept on how to write proper instructions for a new player because this needs to be explained to a new player adn it sure as hell no where near common sense and this cannot even be started to be able to figure out.
Would have been nice if this was told to you because this is hidden information that you need to know or else you canot do this. Which explains why I never saw the grenade launcher.
I do not understand why people in this thread think that what you just explained is not needed to know. Sorry but I should have been told this when I was told in the game by that message to hld left shift, Again I cannot believe people are this ignorant to not grasp that you Absolutely must be told this missing information if you are to continue. Sorry a new player needs the information I was just given.
If that information had been presented in the first place like it should have been, this topic would not have seen the light of day

This has been my whole point in my arguments, don't start whining about how crappy something is if you don't exorcise your brain to try and figure it out for yourself first. He clearly stated that he did, but like I said before, think out of the box. Its really not that hard. Seriously.

ZeroMystic, you are unbelievable. Are you for real? I mean, my god, can you not figure out anything for yourself? Can you not read the instruction manual that came with the game AND the in-game prompts that tell you what to do in a simple and easy fashion? Grow up and stop blaming Bioware for you own problems.
You must've been the worst child to raise. Did you b*tch at your mom when you fell down while running because she didn't teach you how to run better? Did you blame you parents when you sh*t yourself?
It's not hard AT ALL to figure out how to play this game. You a big boy, Bioware ain't holding your hand throughout the whole game.

It's just instinct. You could have at least tried to do something instead of waiting everything to be told to you
And like I said you could have looked at the controls or at least try spining the mouse wheel to change weapons (like in every shooter game)
it's just instinct to whom?
Sorry but the stuff your saying maybe you and others do, but I don't. If it is not made known to me by some on screen hint, or something that i can even use it, then I dont' even think about it.
So yes since I was not told the mouse wheel is usable, then it doesn't even go through my head at all. Same with knowing the left shift screen has an interactive menu. If I am not told that menu is interactive, then it doesn't go through my head to even bother trying.
It's that simple.
You nor anyone else cannot take how you and other people do things, and then start applying them to me saying i should have done what you do.. things do not work like that.
As I said BioWare does not make their games user friendly for new people.
New people have no way of knoing anything about what to even begin to try. So as usual this whole post is biowares fault and it's all because they cannot and refuse to make their games user friendly to newer players.
if a menu is interactive then you need to be told it is and how to use it...THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT A TUTORIAL IS FOR AND IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. And BioWares in game Tutorials only contain what to do information and nothing else, they need to start producing games with tutorials that have all the HOW TO information in them AND HOW TO DO IT AS WELL.
You have to make new players aware of this instead of putting them through hell. Otherwise you get topics like this one being broought up on the forum.
Bottom line is this, I should have been told in the ingame tutorial after being told to hold left shift the exact proceedure for getting the grenade launcher to show up by being told that the screen left shift brings up is interactive and you hover yoru mouse over it.
Yes I am saying sincer I bought the game then I expect those types of instructions and to be sppon fed all the basics of the game that allow you to actually be able to play it...not take a day to get through the first 15 minutes of the game and constantly run into obstacle after obstacle upon obstacle... All it does is make a bad image for the game. and a game is only as good as it's instructions becuase the instructions are what make the game playable, failure to give proper instructions results in failure to play, failure to play means a bad game that is garbage.
I suggest BioWare read this topic and eoehtre have me test for them for the new players and have tehm fix everything that's all wrong with their games, or create a better tutorial system
This is the reason I coudn't stand Baldur's gate II I coudln't even get through the tutorial ebcause it was totally unexplained so i wound up pressing alt F4 just to get teh game to shut off and then uninstalled it and never reinstalled it,
Bioware needs to smarten up because they are losing new customers
Again failure to give proper and fully detaild instructions on anything results in these topics surfacing on the forums.
So yes to answer you or anyone else who asks, my whole experience has been bad right from the start and it's because I was not spoon fed all the crucial need to know game play elements fully and graphically detailed regardless of how dumb it may seem to others) that allow someone like me to actually take the information given and work with it. I am not saying spoon feed everything but this crap with the interactive menu system is crucial need to know information that caused this massive problem because i wasn't told.
I shouldn't have to mess around with anything I should have been told this.

Oh, and as for BioWare loosing customers who can't figure out so simple a tutorial as that, I don't think they are worried. There are plenty of intelligent gamers out there. Last time I checked their sales haven't suffered for it.
And they do test their games. They do this all the time. Like I said before, DO YOUR RESEARCH and use that thing on top of your neck you call a brain before you spew ignorance onto your keyboard.

Wow. Just wow.
Sorry i paid money for this game then this is something that should have been explained int he game.
There is a difference between testing something and testing something correctly.
I paid money for this then they need to do their job, since they didn't make the player aware that the left shift screen is interactive and then explain how to use it.
Then they did not test it out. Because me as a paying customer had a non working unplayable product.
Say what you want but you have to know that the menu is interactive in order to actually play this game. I was not made aware so tehrefore the game is unplayable because I could not do what I was being asked to do ebcuase BioWare did not explain how to do it and yes that is BioWares responsibility to make sure EVERY SINGLE PAYING CUSTOMER can play the game with no problems.
I am a paying customer and I cannot use what i pay for. BS BioWare needs to start making proper tutorials in their games becuase what they haev no leaves the game in an unplayable state to a new player.
I pay for their salary so I have a say in how the menu systems and tutorials and instructions need to be.
It is BioWares fault I had so much trouble and problems with this game.

but i must say, if you can play dragon age origins, you should know what all those icons are that pop up on the inventory screen when you push the shift key.... or like almost any rts or rpg game...

EXCUSE ME There are no icons that I can see on the safes, so I don't know wtf this is all about, and not even going to get into it.
there werent any tutorials on it, it gives clear instructions. look on the right side on the screen that pops up with the instructions for the safe, it says something about pushing the icon to start...

Sure you can have all my content if BioWare OK's it
Why dont you ask them if you can and then have them email me with the answer.
Lets cut the crap.
There is no excuse for a player not to be told that menu is interactive....NONE AT ALL. It's what allows the game to basically be played.
That instruction about the left shift screen being interactive should have been included in the on screen promts.
end of story Just because people here didn't need that need to know piece of information, it leaves absolutely no excuse for it not to be in there or it needing to be there....NONE
Dont' like topics like these then complain to BioWare about it because people like me wouldn't be here posting this if the just did their job correctly in the 1st place.
People here may not have needed that information but I sure as hell did, and since it wasn't given to me, then deal with these types of topics on the forum...Don't like it too bad go complain to Bioware and tell them to make the game with expicit instructions.
