So I know he may or may have not died in your ME2
but I think that if we saved him they should make him part of your squad
just like how if characters like Miranda survived the suicide mission they should be squad mater
I mean he is a serious bad ****
and Adam Baldwin does his voice (also Casey and Jayne)
so who else is with me?
maybe if we get enough people bioware will listen

Kal is hardcore, but his allegiance is first and foremost to the Fleet. If ME3 ends up using the forces from the Flotilla against the Reapers, I'm sure Kal would be right on board though, and he should be.

The problem is the fact he can die. I wouldn't expect too many squadmates from 2 to end up in the third installment.

I don't know about that. It seems everyone's goal is to make sure everyone survives. If we all import the save, then everyone will be alive.

aye, but a big part of the ME franchise is the carrying over of decisions made in previous games. there will not be as much effort put into characters that will not make an appearance in some peoples games, it wouldn't be cost effective. i would like to see them in the third, even having them as squaddies again, i prefer the cast in 2 to 1, but the most i can see BW making of them is cameo appearances of varying sizes. that said though, i can't see BW alienating all the talimancers etc out there, who virtually play the game for their LI. i dont know how BW will get themselves out of this, cost vs massive rage.
edit: on topic, Kal'Reegar is a pimp no doubt, and it'd be cool to see him return, in the same or greater capacity.

Yeah Kal is a badass. I'd enjoy having him as a squadmate in ME3.

Wait... he can die? How long does the Colossus fight have to go on before he buys the farm? I've never seen him die in four playthroughs, and I've always let him have at the Colossus with his rocket launcher. Damn it, this kills my dream of having Kal replace Tali in ME3...

Kal"Reegar's stereotypical US space marine voice and demeanor didn't seem fitting for a Quarian. I'm glad I had him get killed.



A male Quarian squadmate for Mass Effect 3 might be cool but I want a Batarian most of all.

All squad members can potentially die in ME2, but I don't think anyone would suggest not having Garrus, Tali, Miranda or Mordin as possible squaddies in ME3.

We really need to get away from this "What if they died"-mentality. If they died, it's because you made a choice, and choices should matter. Yes, it's sad that they didn't really between ME1 and ME2, but hopefully they'll make the most of it between ME2 and ME3.

To have him survive, all you have to do is tell him to take cover. I've only played on Insanity and I've even had him surviving w/o taking cover.

General discussion is spoiler-free. You cannot say things like "Kal'Reeger can die". Hell, even saying that there's a quarian named Kal'Reeger is technically a spoiler.

I approve. Kal'Reegar is one of my favorite minor characters in ME2. And not because of his voice actor.



I'm Commander Shepard and Kal'Reegar is my favorite quarian marine on the flotilla.

That or make sure the Big white light bulb shooting thing gets down often due to its shields being damaged and someone with a link to this thread might survive.
