I honestly don't see a problem with it .

Then read the god damn thread. I explained it. Someone not wanting to pay for garbage like the WNBA on a cable sports channel doesn't make them misogynists.

I did read the thread and I understand your point of view. I also think it's a load of crap. Anything else?

Next time, try with some degree of comprehension.

So you have played as every class, done every romance option, done every mission and basicly seen all the content?

Check, check, and check. Ignoring the fact these are all red herrings, as romance is decoupled from all other aspects of the game.

Very unlikely. You will always pay for content you dont use.
And allowing gay romances is as simple as setting a value from FALSE to TRUE. That would hardly take much of BioWares time.
.

I do? Oh, no, I don't. Maybe you do.

It's not as simple as setting a value from false to true, because they have to waste time making entire different romance scenarios/dialogue/animations. In fact, I see a lot of these gaystapo bigots clamoring for an "Exclusively gay" character. Even bi characters like Zevran aren't enough for their pathos.

What is that I'm not comprehending, exactly?

I don't want to pay for gay content. The end. I don't care about gay
content, however. I just don't want my cash subsidizing something I
don't give a rats ass about. Refund me 5 bucks if I don't want the gay
content and we will talk.

Yeah, that sounds pretty damn retarded to me.

Edit: the world doesn't revolve around you. I don't care for gay content either, but some people do. This is an RPG; it's all about making choices. Why shouldn't it be possible to play a homosexual Shepard?

That fact that this topic keeps popping up is a clear indication that many of the fans want a gay romance in ME3.

Jade Empire and Dragon Age cleary show that the inclusion gay content does not lead to diminished sales. And if these games don't have a "gayness toggle", then why should ME3 have one?

That being said, a lot of people forget that Bioware can do what ever they want with their games. If they want to kill of Shepherd permanently at the end of ME3 or make the Thane romance canon, than there is little we can do about it. Also if some of the people at Bioware don't want include gay romance in a game, because they are disgusted by the acts of gays in real life, than they have every right to do so. It's their product, not ours.

It doesn't revolve around me, no, but it does revolve around money. And when you crawl out from mumsy and daddsy's pouch, maybe you will appreciate the concept of not having to pay for something you neither want nor use.

If they do add it and it's that big a deal too you then don't buy the game. I'm sure BioWare won't crumble without your $60.

Agreed.  Retarded to the pants-on-head degree.  I don't see people on here demanding a partial refund because they don't use shotguns, don't like Jack, don't play sentinels, etc.  Good god, vhat - do you find yourself unable to avoid "gay romance dialogue" in real life?  Hell, it's ME.  The damn wheel describes the character's intent.  What clearer "don't go here to avoid the gay" could you have?

And don't tell me you didn't enjoy Kelly's little "enticing thought" shimmy directed at your femShep.  It was, to quote my Khazak friend, "NIiiiice."  Image IPB

Where did I threaten to not buy the next game? I'm merely making a pragmatic and painfully obvious point here, one that dumb spoiled kids don't seem to "get", nor do bigoted self -centered gaystapo loonies, for that matter.

People just don't want to pay for stuff they aren't gonna use. Pretty god damn simple.

Indeed it is! That is why no one is forcing you to buy BW games. It is your own choice to do so!

I don't intend to have any of my shepards romance thane or jacob. They should refund me 5 dollars for buying content I won't use!

I'm a straight male and I support the inclusion of gay romances.

Even if I didn't care about the issue, I would anyway just to watch all of you bigots squirm.

It's like the freaking dark ages in here. Grow up people. If bioware decides it'll make enough money, they'll put the stuff in. If they don't, they won't. That's why people make topics saying they personally would want this stuff in there. They want bioware to know that the demand exists.

Sure, you can make a post and say you wouldn't be interested, but it serves no purpose to waltz into a topic and start puking hate charged nonsense over everyone. The world doesn't revolve around you. Sometimes content will be implimented that wasn't tailored specifically for you.

You're going to buy ME3 anyway. You're not going to go "OH NO. IT HAS TEH GAYS. BIOWARE LOST MY MONEYS." Therefore, you saying that you don't want it in the game has no value. They're not going to lose money from you if they make this change.

Huh. You know, you're right. I never use the straight romance options. I should get that money back. I mean, really, I had to stop playing The Witcher because of all that straight sex going on. Should have read the fine print, probably.

I don't think having a homosexual character in ME 1, 2, or 3 is going to do any thing for gay rights, legalizing gay marriage, or promote gay tolerance/acceptance. I suggest you people focus on something more productive.

Which is what I tried to say in the gay thread, but no one wanted to listen... Is this thread a no-gay reply to the yes-gay thread by the way?

I'm no stranger to introducing a gay character for those players who actually feel they need for manly love - however, as people already have said, I do not want any of the existing characters to turn gay to satisfy the loud gay minority. That a female can have Liara as a LI doesn't really count since asaris are not sexual creatures as we know them - if there had been a lesbian character but no gay character, then I would understand the gay rage.

But as already said, with the romances being such a small part of the game, I don't really understand the problem: Shepard is there to save the galaxy, not find the love of his/her life. If you don't want a female/male relationship, then skip it, I know I do - and I'm straight.

WTH are you trying to mumble out here, kid? Are you saying I am the only person on the planet who doesn't want to pay for something they neither want nor intend to use? I assure you, there are infinitely more of "me" than gay people on the planet.

I'm not the biggest fan of homosexuals, but I do find the blatant homophobia in this thread amusing.

It was made very clear in DA:O when Leillana and Zevran were hitting on you, and the proper conversation options were there to decline them.

Why would such a thing be "something you shouldn't pay for' when it would be completely optional in the first place?

Indeed. The earliest sectioning of the caveman's abode was to clearly designate a single location for "the crap to go".

As has been said countless times already; It would be impossible for Bioware to cater to the whims of every individual fan. Each game will have things you don't like. That doesn't mean that Bioware can give out refunds to every fan who doesn't like a single aspect. If the 'wrong' aspects of the game offend you to much, than don't but the game.

Many straight males don't want to play a female character at all!  They shouldn't make female shepard an option!   Many females don't want to play as a male character.  They shouldn't make male shepard an option.   I'm sure there's a nice chunk of the playerbase who doesn't even want to play the romances at all, so lets cut them out completely!

You don't have to be gay to appreciate a storyline that includes homosexuality.   A good story is a good story, regardless of the gender or species of the participants.  There are plenty of people who aren't gay but who would play through the gay storylines for story reasons or just for extra variety.

You don't get to say you know exactly how many people would want to see these storylines played out.  You just get to say that YOU PERSONALLY don't want to see them.  Fine.  Other people get to say they want to see it.  The rest is up to bioware to decide.   All you do by flaming in these topics is bump them and make it look even more like this is an important issue.

-edit-

Gaystapo?  That's the dumbest and most hilarious thing I've seen today.  Next thing you'll be calling us the spanish gayquisition.
