I was looking through the timeline and noticed how old Thane was, which is pretty old in comparisson to the drell average lifespawn of 85 year's.

We know Asari can live over 1000 year's but reach physical maturity around 40 year's according to in game dialog.

Mass Effect is becoming really popular, and I think it would be nice for Bioware to release official documentation of all the Mass Effect races, including the changes to human's with the advancement's in medicine, they seem to live to be over 150 with some frequency in Mass Effect.

They could release a book, or put in on the web page giving every race a guide.  It will cover their lifespan's, at what age they enter stages of their lives, infancy, adolenscence, adulthood, middle age, elderly, etc, and the effect's those stages have on them.

Its also the perfect place to tell us about each races biology, diet and home planet's condition's. As well as each races culture and social structure, we know very little of this as well, though probably the most about Asari with the social stigma's of their maiden, matron and matriarch stages.

I think they would mess it up, but I would buy it for the lore and use my own gaming system.

I went to the mass effect timeline page and looked at the year Thane was born.  Even if it is wrong, it does not change the content of the post.  I still think something like this would be nice to have for geek's like me.

The info in the timeline was taken from the page on the official site. I was talking about THAT page

I can see it as being psychologically in Grunt's case, though I find it hard to fathom that Mordin is 50 and still as fit as he is.

Regardless, they've released similar books to Star Wars, so I wouldn't mind seeing one to accompany ME.

I changed the title to make it clear what the post is about, its not really about Thane being 39.

Thane isn't old, the avereage human nowadays is lucky to reach 85 as well.

Unless you're saying 39 is old by human standards.

Humans can live to be 150 is a direct quote from Mass Effect, and no, I do not consider myself old.

Ok I'm gonna ask this how do you know Grunt isn't 20 something? Yes he's tank bred but his growth time, doesn't change the fact that according to Wrex and everyone he's basicly entering puberty and Krogan are known to have long lifespan's like the Asari so may physically mature at a later age ie: enter puberty in the 20's instead of say younger like human's and other short lived species.

I overlooked that when I read your post, no its not, but its not entirely young either.  I could still pull off all the things I did 20 year's ago as I have stayed in shape, but not with as much finesse and I would definately feel it the next day.

Back on topic, I do support the idea of a book (or prefferably a PnP) that expands on the already existing lore of Mass Effect.
