I'm pretty much hoping to get the attention of someone with some pull over the BSN.
As most people know, at the moment it is not possible to change projets catergory (playable module, character module, etc) and while many asked for it since - well - the beginning it appears it's not as simple as it would seem. Therefore it remains impossible, and some projects are stucked in bad categories.
But I'm not really asking about changing category. I'm just here about the filetypes.
Currently, the "DA Playable Module" category my project is in only allow me to upload files named after these extensions : jpeg, jpg, png, dazip, doc, txt. (extensions, rather than filetypes per say)
What does that imply ?
- I can't provide a dadbdata b2b package unless I rename it to *.dazip and tell people to rename it back.
- I can't provide end-players with a zip'ed home made self-installing package as fix to DAUpdater shortcomings when it comes to core override. I can't even provide them with a regular zip archive holding core override files...
So, while I won't ask for modders to be able to change their project category, I would love to see those two "filetypes" added to the allowed list for "DA Playable Modules" : zip, dadbdata.
If it were possible, it'd be much appreciated. Plus, I'm sure I'm not the only modder wishing they could upload those two very common extensions.
