I´ve got a problem, I don´t know if I should stick with Kaidan or move on to thane. I talked to thane(Romance) until he said what Siha means. Then I said" Were different, cant replace wife" and he like " blabla...I hope you don´t mind if i carry you in my heart"
Heart melting line or what???Posted Image
But when I start a relation and goes this far,(The picture of kaidan is still in my room) do you guys think It will make an impact in ME3?
guess!

If you romanced Kaidan in ME1, and moved on to Thane in ME2; supposedly there is going to be some "major" consequences in ME3. I'm curious on how this will effect the game so I have a couple of saves just for this purpose.

Anyway Thane>Kaidan.

She didn't romance Thane though, she broke the romance fairly early.

You killed the romance by "can't replace your wife". Kaidan is still your chosen LI. You can only "cheat" (how I love cheating on binary code notion) if you have a paramour achievement , at least this is how I understand it.

Thane (or Garrus) - both romances are  good IMO.  Kaidan.

I think all romances are completely superfilous to the plot, I honestly done think any of them will have any bearing on ME3

I read somewhere that it will have bearing and that the reason Kaidan, Liara, and Ash weren't really in ME2 is because Bioware "cared so much [for them]" and wanted to ensure they all survived to ME3. Not to mention the picture of Kaidan/Ash/Liara is face-down if you pursue another romance in ME2.

For my main Shepard, I didn't pursue any romances at all. Well, I did pursue Kaidan, but I killed him off (lol) due to his extremely boring nature. But I mostly just had issues with pursuing any relationship, period. I'm their CO for goodness sakes! It felt so unprofessional, especially in the first game (notably Ash and Kaidan) because they are your subordinates.

Kaidan. Thane has little time before he dies, plus he is too boring. not mystical, boring. Also, flashbacks.

Kaidan however, is a deep character. You need to actually listen to him to figure him out. Plus I think having the ME1 LI through all games will have some sort of impact.

I mean it will probably matter... like you will run into kaiden again and the conversation will be different. I mean it wont like EFFECT the game or anything. Just do what you want.

I meant from an end game perspective.

My Shepard moved on. Kaidan turned out to be pretty lame. He meets here on Horizon for the first time in two years, thought she was dead and what does he do? Start complaing about who she is working for and babbles about what happened to all the things they once believed.

Then, to top it off, he sends here a message saying he no longer knows how he feells about her and tells her he is dating another woman. LAME!!!! Kick this guy to the curb!!

Thane is much more relaxed and seems to feel comfortable with who he is. He is the one Shepard picked. I just wish tere was more romance between them.  They could at least went to the clubs and had a few drinks!

Kaidan needs to grow up!

I found Thane more likable overall aside from the somewhat creepy flashback episodes.

Kaidan was a pointless romance. In ME 1 he was all like, "blah blah i love you shepard blah blah *sexes* let's go defeat the Reapers!!1"

When you show up on Horizon the conversation is something like

"Wtf, why didn't you try and contact me?"

"Uh...I've been unconscious for two years."

"You suck, I hate you. I'm an Alliance soldier blah blah,"

*in email* "Oh I'm sorry, I'm dating a doctor on the Citadel (Dr Michel? o__0) but let's bonk when you get back, have fun killing the Reapers"

At least with Garrus he sticks by you. Even Thane, though it's slightly sad loving a dyin gman.

Cheating will have an impact on ME3. How big that impact will be... just one way of finding out, right? In my case, I stayed true to Liara in my paragon playthrough and I cheated on her in my renegade playthrough. I'm curious about the consequences, although I don't expect them to be that large.

That being said, if I romanced Kaiden in ME1, than I would probably cheat on him all the time. Just because he's Kaiden and he is a whiner.

I did like Thane, but if I romanced Kaidan Id stay true to him.

Id feel bad for cheating, and Kaidan was pretty cool.

I may be fighting a losing battle here, but that is so gross a misrepresentation of Kaidan's e-mail that words fail me.  I would characterize the e-mail like this:

"I'm sorry I was such an idiot on Horizon.  I've been struggling to move on from your death for two years... even tried going out with a doctor on the Citadel but my heart just wasn't in it.  Seeing you again, it's clear to me that you're the only one I could ever love.  I can't just forget everything that's happened since you died, but when your mission is over, look me up.  Maybe we can put the pieces of our relationship back together."

Haha, clearly you are less cynical than I am. That was just a personal interpretation of Kaidan's email :)

Thane. <3

Kaidan is all right, but he just can't compete with the awesomness of Thane or Garrus, imho.
