I am planning on starting brand new dwarf commoner rogue soon, and since I already had dual-wielding rogue I want to give a try at archery.  The thing is, I don't know how to start up as one,
Which talents/skills I should choose, should I use crossbow or some bow etc

Also, about Ranger. I have taken ranger for Leliana on last playthrough, but do you really need to get any other skills of that line than the very first one (wolf)? Especially since you can use the Tactics thingy that'll give you acces to all skills normal wolves have (Overwhelm, dread howl, shred and howl). I don't see why should I take bear or spider, since in my opinion, when I used them on Leliana they were either bad tanks (bear) or too squishy (spider). The last skills buffs them up some more, but still the wolf seems to be the best choice out of the three.
That is all, for now.

/edit
Damn me and my half sleeping eyes, I swear I clicked the characters. builds etc area >.<

A full strength bear still survives quite a bit better than a basic wolf. You can also do the same overwhelm trick with the bear and spider. Plus having all three skills means that when one dies you can immediately summon another. I just finished a 3 archer/ranger playthrough and it felt pretty powerful with the characters very well protected.

Hey ive just finished my second playthrough and both times i have been an archer dalish elf rogue. Second time i learned from all my mistakes. So here is what ive done.

Concentrated on Dexterity, Cunning and Willpower. Strength was slowly brought up to around 20 so i could wear good armour. You will find loads of rings/trinkets to help boost these further.

Got the Lethality talent (very important for rogues). Arrow of slaying, and Scattershot are proably the best archer talents you can get. If stealth is at 3rd or 4th tier is is very handy as well.

Falon-Dins Reach is my bow of choice - found in Brecilian Forest.

Also maxed lockpicking to get the most loot, but also you gain extra experience from opening chests.

Tier 2 or 3 poison making is handy to have plenty of bombs in inventory.

Specialisations = Focused mainly on Ranger, and Bard as second.

Maxed out Ranger cos Spider and Bear are both powerful when upgraded at 4th tier, never really found the wolf to be helpful.

Bard is useful for stamina/mana regeneration and increasing attributes.

So yeah thats basically it. Rogue archers are by far my favourite class, very interesting to play and fun to!

I had Leliana so it was a bit different, but I just put everything into Dex. Scattershot is good but I found all the other archery talents optional. Maybe I didn't notice how important the non-interupt one was.
