"Dear Tinnic,

Am glad you sent letter. Obvious cry for help. Have several wise words to say to you, now that scale-itch outbreak is under control.

First, being on break is not cheating. Have heard from reliable source (know you read all our mails, Miranda) that Kaidan been seing other human female. Heard that she is doctor, so Kaidan is obviously man of taste.  Regardless, he has moved on, you should do same.

Consider also that real life and computer games two vastly different things. Is possible to have more than one life, more than one outcome, on computers. Real life lacks reload option. Because future can be changed, no decision can be considered final until end of series.

Games forum perhaps not best place to talk about infidelity. Word could get back to Kaidan, then solid waste excerement would hit fan. Am forwarding contact details of professional councillor. Suspect several therapy sessions would do you good.

Yours,

Doctor M. Solus

P.S, don't forget to stop by for soothing lotion I promised you."

As in most of the cases your post is winning the thread. I am so jealous.:pinched:

Let's cheat on a binary code! YAY!

The important part in a relationship isn't how the other person feels, it's how you feel about the other person. I'm going to go out on a limb here, but based on the wall o' justification for your behavior, you a) have feelings and B) feel guilty. You're cheating, get over it.

Actions have consequences, and you're just going to have to find out what happens for yourself.

Personally, RenegadeShep always had a thing for Officer Vakarian so she went for it. ParagonShep tried to move on, but that damned picture in her cabin kept reminding her of what she found that one night before Ilos. There really should have been an option to react in some way to the picture.

And really, if you're going to write that much about a video game love affair, you should be writing fanfic like everybody else! :D I'd read it.

I have not played ME1 but I have played ME2 and now ME3. I think that the way Kaidan acted on Horizon kind of says he has moved on, thinking Shepard was dead. Then when he finds out she is alive, he treats her like crap! The way I look at it, no matter who Shepard romances it is NOT cheating. She was dead and is feeling lonely. Kaidan is not even an option in ME2 and she needs someone to help her relieve some stress. After all she did not ask Cerberus to bring her back to life and then force her to work with them. Kaidan does not understand that Shepard is between a rock and a hard place.

Well this is pretty a bad case of thread necromancy I've seen to date.

But...

Both Kaidan and Ashley have the same problem, but put yourself in their shoes...they have been mourning Shepard for two years, you come back in the middle of a attack, and you are working for a terrorist group. They do have the right to be upset, but they are also in the dark about alot of things, including the place that Shepard is in. They are simply flawed humans, and both try to apalogize for it the best way they know how.

Hell, I think the entire Horizon scene needs a entire rewrite.

I agree that Horizon scene needs a rewrite.  They also should give Shepard some different choice of conversation.  But I think the romances need rewrites and the female straight Shepard should get some other choices in ME3!  James would be a good one or someone else.  I did not carry a character over (yet) so the only choice my Shepard has is Kaidan.  LOL!  :P

Even though it is tempting to cheat on Kadian with Garrus I think I am going to stay loyal to Kadian because he is a sweetheart <3

The idea that it is "cheating" to consider someone else when a masculine Shepard has a free pass with his Yeoman without it even affecting his primary romance is pretty bad double standard and rather offensive really.
My Femshep is sticking to Kaiden simply because she truly likes him the best and is empathic enough to understand that he has suffered a lot more than she has. (Being dead is WORLDS easier than grieving a loved one and feeling guilt over surviving!)
She is not being "true" because some game writer thinks she should get a scarlet letter if she doesn't. If she didn't like him the best then she would consider taking up with someone else at this point. As far as I am concerned she is free to decide till vows of some sort are exchanged.. and so is he.
Of course in a real world a lot more talking would have happened on Horizon but that didn't suit the plot and that happens a lot in fiction. Just as the characters would certainly have come to more understanding, we cut to a commercial and the conversation is ended. It is even worse when your conversation options are so severely limited as in this venue.
