I personally am buying 2 sets. One to decorate my desk with and one to repaint (as I like to customize my armor).

Now I know there are going to be "Where is my favorite character" or "Why did you make X instead of making Y? Y is a much better NPC" or whatever. This is the first line of Mass Effect figures. Hopefully, they prove popular and more come out in the future. Fans suggesting who they would want to see would be a good idea so we know who to make next (should the possibility arrise). So get to suggesting and order your figures form your local comic, hobby or toy shop today.

like most people i'm really excited about these awesome figures!!!!! personally i cant wait for series one to be released and espcially series 2 with legion, garrus, miranda and mordin cant bloody wait lol

All cool, but I would still wait for Wrex and Garrus.

(also, what about Saren? He would make a fine resin/metal statuette - either the 'your species needs to learn its place' pose or the one we see in "stolen memory")

I don't like the canon Shep (and where's the female Shep?), I wish you could buy a figure of your own custom Shep ;-).

I think I'm going to buy Tali and hopefully a Kasumi figure and a golden Saren figure (like the statue in Kasumi's loyalty mission) will be released in the future.

Has Bioware ever displayed a default female Shep like they have for the male though? They should just forget about a Shepard since for everyone male or female the Shepard will never be your Shep anyways.

And given the economics of plastic molding, they'd cost about $5000 each if you were lucky. One-use molds are NOT cheap.

Remember: the second action figure costs eight cents in plastic. The first cost thousands of dollars in design and production. You don't want to have to buy that one without millions of other people helping defray it by buying numbers two through whatever.

Also I'd like to point out that default male Shepard looks like a douche nozzle so making a figure out of him is kinda dumb.



Not to mention half the fun is having your *own* Shepard.

I'll probably buy them anyway so long as they have an ME logo on them (because I'm obsessive like that ) but these figures are pretty bad. Hopefully with a movie in the pipeline Hot Toys will get their hands on the ME rights and blow these bath toys away.
