Man... I just got an email saying mine are delayed until the end of January next year! They better have made them look absolutely stunning for them to be delayed again and again for this long.

I got all ME comic in here, the postal is still higher than the total price of the comic, but at least it is more reasonable. :)

www.tfaw.com/

For the record, that's where I got stung.  I'm not sure if they got commission from the outrageous amount they charged me or if they were simply being unhelpful with presenting their postage options.  All I know is that I'm normally careful about checking postage costs and would have never agreed to the amount in question.

Although TFAW would have been aware of the incongruous discrepency, they neither saw fit to confirm it with me beforehand nor made any efforts to put it right afterwards, their line being pretty much "that's too bad"  which they stuck to rigidly.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone outside North America.  It could turn out to be more expensive than you expected.  I mean a lot more expensive.

Maybe I should've checked harder and gone through my bank statements more thoroughly, though it's worth mentioning that the order confirmation made no mention of postage: they should've been a lot more open and helpful than they were.  My order from TFAW was a very expensive mistake.  Caveat emptor.

Edit: just to be clear, TFAW charged me $170.70 in postage costs for three small comics worth just $8.40 in total, in case anyone's wondering why I'm giving such dire warnings about ordering from them.

Speaking as someone whose hobby has meant buying and selling across various borders - I have sent weighty and delicate packages many times to the US without incurring anywhere near that amount of postage, received too.

That's not incompetence on their part it's downright dishonesty.

nothing gets delayed like figurines. :P

miranda looks pretty good, but i think i'll probably just get tali, garrus, mordin, and grunt.

or maybe just mordin and grunt, since i don't like certain aspects of the tali and garrus figurines.

Holy cow, are these being delayed or are people just gobbling them up faster than I can go, "Oooh, shiny!"

Also, is there any chance of ordering directly from the Bioware guys?  I'm having difficulty keeping my rage from the other online shop websites...Image IPB

Good to have someone else's input, even though there's probably not much I can do about it other than warn others.

When I contacted TFAW about it, though ostensibly polite they were pretty unapologetic and in no hurry to put things right.  Without more information, you can only speculate about their honesty or lack thereof, but you have to wonder about their motivation.

I've yet to find these on retail anywhere in Ohio, and the best DC Direct can give me is a list of nearby comic shops (which don't carry them). I don't want to order the entire set or resort to ebay, but my desk won't tolerate the lack of Garrus and Tali it is currently experiencing for much longer. Mark me down as one more plea for Bioware to sell the individual figures directly!

Yeah, they should have on offer all those model ships you can collect in game.

The best choice for figure making is deffinitely McFarline Toys.

I disagree... you should have a look to the Neca's too. Their paint-job sometimes is really cheap, but they've a lot of articulation and they're almost 100% design accurate.

Speeching of ME2 figures, I'm really pleased of the character chosen for the fist two series: I just hope to see Liara in her Shadow Broker outfit and some villains too in the future.

DC Direct has delayed both the ME2 and DAO figures to Dec 27th 2010 and Jan 11th 2011, respectively. I am rage incarnate.

That might actually be less upseting to me.  At least now I know why I haven't been able to find them.  I just hope that the delay is due to some last minute improvements.  The figures look cool and all but I would like to see a little more articulation and maybe a little work on the proportions.  Is it just me or do the legs look a little stumpy in the photos?

I'm really looking forward to these. Sad they aren't out in time for Christmas, but not much of a wIt. I hope Tali's omni tool has more detail then you can see from the pics so far.

So... again I ask - are these available to purchase in Australia or where can I buy online from overseas which will deliver to Australia? Also - how much?

I just got a notice from Amazon that my pre-order was canceled for Tali and That my Shepard figure will be canceled by January 1st if they don't have any word on when they will be in stock. What's up with that? Are they really that delayed?

I just can't imagine what delayed them almost half a year at this point... unless the original timeline was just too ambitious and/or they weren't happy with what was coming off the assembly line and had to make some major corrections. Still... not too much longer I guess.

And so many choices too: should such a compromising position between Grunt and Random Darkspawn include my VaultTech bobblehead?  Or maybe my cuddly Half Life vortigaunt?  Or perhaps the Weebl's Stuff badger would spice things up.  The possibilities for cross-genre tastelessness are endless!

Er, I mean... um... forget I said anything. <runs away>

I guess Pineapple had in mind something about Shep and Tali's figures... I hope that there won't be an excalation of silly photos and so done with the figures. It would be squallid.
