I was checking the DC Direct website today and they have the figures listed for release March 9th, 2011. I hope that this isn't the case.

March 9th? This is getting crazy. I pre-ordered Tali in February and now I won't get her until 13 months later? Talk about delays eh!

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't released before ME3 is released. ;)

Chris likely knows only a bit more then we do on this topic, maybe they took everyone's complaints about quality litterally and remade every single one.

I'm just happy I pre-ordered through the Bioware store because they atleast sent e-mails at the first delay saying that I would be getting some extra stuff due to the delay.

We just have to wait... I hope in some extras and improvements me too. Something like interchangable heads (with/withour helmet) for everyone and not just for Shepard, ad demi-trasparent faceplate for Tali with the placeholder face underneath would be great. Anyway, I agree... I'm glad to pre-ordered from BW site and not from Ebay.

true, Chris ,might know very little on the issue. its not his company making them after all but i refuse to believe hes powerless, like us, to learn what that problem is and post about it.

he didnt get in the possition hes now by letting things slip by or letting people needlessly slack.

Maybe their sales rep is stonewalling him, he may very well be trying to get information and they simply wont cough it up.  I doubt, at this point, he is doing it on purpose, on the other hand, you have to be aware of how poorly more then a few members here act when they get a date for something and its delayed or cancelled.
You and I may not have done it, but MANY users have made it obvious that Bioware is damned if they do tell, and damned if they don't.
In the end the best thing to do is just wait and trust that things are on their way rather then get worked up or worried about this.

I just want my figures. I've been waiting since '07 for ME figures. I'll take anything, even if it's not "perfect"

Seriously, I've been looking forward to these as well, and the constant delays are beginning to wear thin. I'm only worried that these delays might prevent certain characters being made in later waves (ie, shortening the lines life-span and customer interest due to the delays).

its Mass Effect. There will always be a staunch group of supports (myself included) who love anything and everything Bioware.

Who wouldnt want little action figures to set up on the desk? Got 2 sets preorderd. Cant wait to start repainting them!!!!

That doesn't mean interest won't wain as time goes on.  It seems they've missed the boat in terms of releasing them at the best possible time (ie, anytime in 2010 after the release of ME2) since the game was still fresh, with new DLC coming out every few months to keep fans (both casual and hardcore) interested in the franchise.

Granted, ME3 coming out late next year will do that, but it seems like by the time the second wave of these is released (or even the first wave if there are more delays), people are going to be more interested in the ME3 characters (which will probably be a combination of ME1 and ME2 crew members, with a few new faces thrown in) as opposed to the ME2 characters.

Anyway, my point is, while I appreciate a company taking the time to do things right, at the same time, DC Direct has taken too long to get these out on store shelves.  Its no big deal, I just want these babies to come out already.

When I saw these delayed, I took it to be the result of low preorders...I dunno

Who has the best price online for these? Need to place my preorder

Everything from DC Direct is at least 3-6 months late. It's not Mass Effect specific. It sounds like DC is having trouble getting items shipped from China to the U.S.

Is there any possible way you could work out a deal with the company in which we pay a bunch of money and get a Shepard figure based on our in game Shepard? I would pay a few hundred dollars to get an Amy Shepard figure.

There are places that do custom figures but you'd have to be careful with certain things like the armor for example you couldn't use the N7 logo and you'd have to make the weapon something else since you run the risk of copyright infringement and no figure sculpter would do it.

Is it possible to come off as more of a hipster DB or did you pay for lessons on being one? cause that's just hillariously fail of you, all that's missing is a "i remember when bioware had dignity man!"

Clearly a company make'n money is such a abstract coincept, bioware isn't santa clause in case you couldn't tell, if they make products these people want, they do have to charge, yeah i just blew your hipster comie mind, i know.

Most DC Direct figures come with a stand. I don't think I own any that don't have a stand.

I've had numerous customizers make figures and accessories for me and not a single one of them have been worried about copywrite infringement. Know why? Big companies don't care about one little toy.
