Hopefully when these do get sent out, BioWare remembers to include the free shirt and free mini-lithos we've been promised! It's been so long since the ordering window, I almost forgot about all the freebies that are supposed to be included.

EDIT: Same with the Dragon Age figures... does anybody know the release date on them?

The Dragon Age figures are actually out now, and are pretty damn good, if you ask me. Why the ME fanbase has been jerked around like this is beyond me.

I was initally hoping for a second series of DAO figures (especially Alistair and Leliana), but after this disaster, I think I'd rather just have the four they've released now.

Not cancelling my order, but this is disappointing and entirely unacceptable. Look at when this thread was created. A freaking year ago. This is a line of action figures, not Duke Nukem Forever.

These guys are supposed to be a professional business. You don't toss out a release date like that and then not commit to it. At the rate DC is working, you'd think they have a monkey building the figures. Wait, that's giving them too much credit. How is anyone supposed to take them seriously after this? What's the incentive to work with them? Oh yeah, their uber quality WoW figures which will probably continue to be created and shipped flawlessly from now until forever...

It's really funny when you look at it like this: How long is it going to take these guys to release the figures after the initial announcement? Over a year. How long is it going to take BW to release ME3 after the initial announcement? Even with a minor delay, a year, maybe a little over. The difference is BW's devs will work on their own personal time to make sure a quality game is delivered on the release date or as close to the release date as possible. And their job is about a billion times more complex, difficult, and involved.

So explain how this is ok to me? It's not! It's insulting. I expect my action figure (When it finally gets here) to include a free pass to some luxury cruise or something, so that I don't learn biotics and crush these people for being losers.

To clarify, I'm not mad at BW at all, they're getting screwed just as much as we are. That said, I'd encourage BW to not do business with DC direct again.

Wow.

They cancelled Garrus?!

That blows.

Given the fact I paid for this in full when I ordered it off a random Amazon retailer...damn, I don't think I even have the credit card for that anymore.

I really want to buy these but they keep pushing back the date! The DC site says APRIL now.

Actually, the WoW figures have been prone to a lot of delays too. I've had to wait months for some of them. And while the sculpts are great the paintwork is a bit iffy, certainly not up to the standard pictured on the box.

The first series ME2 figures did seem a little poor in quality, but something is better than nothing (except the Shepards, not getting that). It's a shame because the second series seemed like an improvement over the first, and I bet a lot of people wanted the Garrus one (I really wanted the Legion too). Still, I completely understand Bioware cancelling the second set, these delays have been ridiculous. I really hope they find someone else to do the rest of the figures with because I'd love to have most of the characters.

Cancellation mail sent. Next time BW contact Neca for your action figures series... they did some of the best models I've ever seen, and with 0 delays. I'll wait for the ME3 stuffs, or even for a generic Mass Effect Trilogy series now, but I won't preorder anything produced by Dc, not anymore.

actually, NECA delays their stuff all the time

Hey now, I actually JUST got my shipping confirmation sent (regarding the DRAGON AGE figurines. Hoping it comes with the mini-lithos I was promised when they were initially delayed. Excited! And glad to hear that they're pretty damn good.

I really, really hope BW doesn't abandon the figures. D; I was so excited and had a couple Garrus figures pre-ordered...and now this.  I hope they find someone more professional and reputable.  This is just horrible all around.  :crying:

Why don't they just do with Art Asylum/Diamond Select? They do great work on Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, and Battlestar Galactica Figures. I'm sure they'd do great work with Mass Effect as well.

Oh just had a thought! They also do large electronic ships and electronic equipment replicas too. Who wouldn't love a range from AA/DST of ME figures, a large electronic Normandy, and something like an ME pistol or better yet an M-8 Avenger?

WOW. DC pushed series 1 to april 27th from march 9.... and dropped series 2 off the map.

Rediculous. Been eyeing these since toyfair 10 last February, I had a preorder since August. I cancelled it because I'd rather spend it on something else. I'll take my chances and order post-release....if they get released.

They've got their share of products that were announced, delayed and cancelled.

It happens more with their movie figures than with their Player Select Line.  But if you watch the solicitations and their anticipated release dates at the various toy shows you'll note that over the course of the year some items get bumped, some cancelled.

That happens to all the toy manufacturers, though.  Sometimes it's factory issues, sometimes scheduling problems such as product not shipping before Chinese New Year, etc.   Whatever the case, this seems to happen more to DC Unlimited than most others, which signals a systemic lack of efficiency.  Especially over the past year.  They've seen delay after delay on mostl of their products it seems.

They do get delayed, but not this often and (usually) not this long.

They also do better quality work, as far as I am concerned. I am a long time action figure collector, and I found the Dragon Age series, as a whole, less than impressive. I, personally, think the Mass Effect figures look even worse.

I would love to see what NECA could do with those two licenses.

Me too, their GoW and Bioshock figures for example era really good, if we wanna just talk about videogame characters. Who knows? At this point maybe we'll get a generice ME's action figures series with character of all three games next year, or whathever will be I don't think that it will be managed again by DC-Direct... Plus, off course some delays happens, there's nothing to be scandalized abou it... but we're talking about 1-2 months... not 8-9...

I'll probably wind up picking up Garrus when the second set comes out (favorite character and all.) I also hope they will make a Femshep figure, even if it's the default it's better than nothing. Like 75% of my playthroughs are female, mostly because I love Jennifer Hale's VA work, so I tend to think of Shepard as being a female to start with. So yeah....

TL;DR: Garrus is awesome, and I'll spend my hard earned cash for a femshep figure.

I have to say I'm severely annoyed. I wish they'd just cancel Series 1 too. Obviously nothing has been produced. I have a pre-order in at a place I can't cancel with without getting a penalty (ordered before I knew I could order here) and now I'm going to get four figures that will not have any more characters to join them. It's just frustrating to have waited all this time and now for this to happen. I know that's not Bioware's decision, but the decision to even produce the first four figures seems odd. Surely if they do find someone else the new manufacturer won't just pick up where DC Direct left off.
