Well as for the ME 2 figures at least i can get a damn Tali figure. I don't know if Series 2 is truly cancelled but if it is I'll just buy all of Series 1 'cause I can't get enough ME merch.

Bioware/EA needs to find a parnter committed to more than 4 figures and in scale to the soon to be released (April) DC figures. Hopefully, they can get Neca or McFarlane who can do much better articulated figures. If they make good buck combat armor, they can easily make varients or new characters. For a male buck combat armor; default male Shepard, Kaiden, Blue Sun Merc, Bataren . For a female buck combat armor; FemShep, Ashely, Liara, Eclipse Merc. They can get varients out of Garrus and Rex with with minimal changes and different Geth varients from the same base figure.
I wouldn't count on Mass Effect to have the legs of GOW or Halo so Bioware really needs to release as much as possilble near the ME3 release date.

I bought some Batman stuff from them once, and it ended up being exactly like this Mass Effect fiasco. Heck, McFarlane could do a better job with this (at least they have experience with HALO.

Please clarify the situation with the ME2 series 2 action figures. Some online retailers are cancelling orders for this after pre-orders were available for months. Is series 2 dead or will it be re-scheduled for a later date? Is DC Direct waiting for the performance of series 1 before deciding to proceed with series 2? Are pre-orders too low?

Seconded. I pre-ordered Garrus and Mordin. I want to know if I'm ever going to see them.

I'd love to have some articulated plastic representation of these fantastic characters on my shelf, I really hope they swing back around to these for their fans. Hopefully, they'll shop the license, and from prototype to final sculpt, we'll see something in about a year?
Sigh.
DC Direct sucks.

I'm just dissapointed because Halo had figures in retail stores, so did Gears of War, so did Crysis.... I would gladly buy up the lot of ME figures even if they were as crapy as those figures were. The fact is.... I want toys to put on my shelf.... lame I know but I guarentee they will sell.
Bioware.... give us another supplier! I've boycotted buying from DC until these figures come out.

Series 1 is suppose to come out April 27. I won't be suprised if this is cancelled too.

I have a feeling the reason the first series wont be cancelled is because DC Direct came to far along with them and are required by contract to provide them at this point or likely face finacial penalties if they cancel.Null_ wrote...

As suggested previously, its likely that series 2 was cancelled because DC Direct has failed to meet the expectations of Bioware/EA and as soon as Series 1 is out, they likely won't be making any more. I would assume another company may be approached for this after.

Seriously. I can't help but laugh every time I read the title of this thread: "Take a look at the new Mass Effect figures coming soon"
I'm very proud of Bioware for stepping up and calling DC Direct on their unprofessionalism.
Now, a suggestion to Bioware:
Find another toy company (NECA and McFarlane Toys have been mentioned) who will do the characters justice. And don't focus only on a specific game. I know the legal and copyright issues are easier to work out that way, but you open yourself up to more sales by covering characters from all 3 games as opposed to just 1 out of the 3 (especially for those Liara and Tali purists). This way, you can also mix up the series to include some ME1, some ME2, and some ME3 characters in each series. I still think a 4 figure per series approach is best, and think that including two ME3 figures (since thats the upcoming game that needs promotion) and one ME1 and one ME2 character per set would work well. Therefore, even for someone who hates ME2, there might still be a figure or two from the other games in that series that they might want...and this also helps increase pre-order sales since many times full sets are a bit cheaper per figure than individual and specific figures.
