Anyhoo, I'd be glad if ME figs were done this way. 6", limited articulation, affordable (I mean less than 20$/figure - and not like 80$ per a statue)

The way the mask was done is extremely off putting, so is the pose. Not badly done, but i think that i'll stick to lithos.

ok now that i know that after the first series they are switching to another company do you think they'll re-do the series 1 or just continue on because i would really upset if the series looked completly different to another series. I still want all the figures but are they going to keep consistency or at least do series 1 again with the new company?
I don't think anything has been announced yet. This is why I wish they'd at least allow series 2 to be released before completely switching from DCD, so that if the new figures are significantly different, then at least we have a fair few figures to go with series 1.
I still can't help but wonder how DCD dropped the ball so badly this time. They managed to get the DAO figures release, and they turned out pretty well, if you ask me.

I'm hoping that the new company will try to remain consistant with scale but I we won't now how well they go with the DCD figures until we put them side by side. I'm also hoping that the DCD series 2 figures make it out; DCD seems to have put a lot of effort developing this series to just drop it.
I do collect DCD World of Warcraft figures; serveral of this line's series have also been delayed over six months the last couple of years and most other properties have seen some delay's as well. It does seem that DC properties get priority and get made with relative short delays will non-DC properties keep getting pushed back. I've read on other boards that there was a re-organization at DCD and some key people left; this may be why they have been dropping the ball.
I don't expect any formal announcements for a new licence holder until after DCD series 1 has been out for a while.

If they haven't already started, my guess would be that we'll see ME3 figures first and may see some ME2 versions sprinkled in if they're a success.

I agree that is the most likely scenario but there's a chance that the new company can start developement on charactors that appeared in ME1 and ME2 right away. Both Bioware and the new figure maker should try to release Mass Effrect product for the holiday season because this would be the most effective time due to interest in all things Mass Effect generated by the release of ME3 in November and also this is a time that more people will buy toys/action figures.
Another reason that DCD failed with ME2 figures could be from the fact the Mattel took over the DC license. It seems like DCD has eclusive rights to certain properties (like "The Blackest Night" series) for a limited time before Mattel produces the same characters a few months latter; no body will buy the more expensive collector figures if they can buy much cheaper and better articulated versions of those charactors produced by Mattel. DCD trying to squeeze them out before Mattel is tying up their production capablity.
It's been very disappointing going to the local comic book shops looking for WoW, Dragon Age, and ME2 figures only to find them repeatedly pushed back while DCD continues to ship waves after waves of "Blackest Night" zombified Green Lantern figures.

Is there any trustworthy sites to get these from? I know nothing about the websites found with a google search.
I used the following online site frequently and had no problems; they also have a good reputation for customer service. I use them because I don't pay sales tax, I can bundle orders to save on shipping, I can easily log on to see my pre-orders, and I can easily cancel pre-orders and do not get charged a fee for canceling orders. Cost wise, they are about average for online sites.

You might also look at ordering through your local comic book shop. My local shop allows me to pick the best painted figures before they put them out on the floor. Just about all comic books stores order through Previews and products usually ship once per week (ship to the store on Tuesday for Wednesday sale date). You can check the Preview site to see what product are shipping next week.

You can see that for 03/30, DC Direct Killzone and Rachet & Clank figures will go on sale at comic books stores that ordered these figures.

Personally, if I had my choice I would of prefered 12" action figures from Hot Toys. Just take a look at some the liceneses they have created 12" figure for. The details are outstanding and highly articulate as well.

They've done like a bajillion Resident Evil figures, just right off the top of my head that I can think of. They do VG characters for sure. But the hell I want a 150 dollar Shepard figure, while hella Customizable, HT figures are just too damn pricey for the same body/"buck" some generic character also uses just to get some character specific accessories.Alienmorph wrote...
Hot Toys? Besides the price, I don't think they've ever made figures of videogame characters.

Now I understand and respect that it isn't easy to release things (games, toys, etc.) but when are they actually going to be released. Because if we are to believe what were heard the series 2 of the figures are going to be release on 1 July. Are they planning to release the first and second series together?
Now I don't went to seen as a bad guy, I can't wait for these to come out I've had them pre-order since September, I'd just like to know if there’s is a problem with releasing them?

The series 1 figures are suppose to be released on April 27th. This is the date that they should arrive at the local comic book shops and most online retailers; the date may be different for other stores such as Toys R Us.
You can look up DC Direct's most current release schedule on the following link. Don't be suprised if they get pushed back again. because DC Direct has badly mismanaged this line.

to be honest, they actually aren't looking that bad. At least from this one picture. A little custom painting will take these figures a long way... that doesn't make up for the horrendous delays though. I've had these things pre-ordered for half a year and every time it gets close to the release, they just get delayed again. I really hope April 27th is THE date now.

The've done Biohazard and Assassin's Creed figures. Expensive yes, but the quality is is really up there and far more posable! I own several from the military line.
