I'm trying to decide if when I get my figures to repaint Shepard's entire armor to match my in-game silver and green armor....hmmm.

It really is a shame that the line is discontinued - this really would have been a great series of figures just judging by the Commander Shepard (I would have loved to have gotten a FemShep). But it shows when they were supposed to get these figures out - the back of the packaging has an ad says to "Get your 2011 Calendar - in stores this September." So I guess these were supposed to be out before September of last year. Gotta say though, many thanks to Jonwes for the posted pictures and review - Grunt looks absolutely incredible.

I don't think it would do much as Bioware has already stated they won't work with DC Direct again, as well as the rumors of another company grabbing the license. It's a safe bet to say that there will be more figures, just not DC Direct's series 2.

I'm sad series 2 has been canceled. 
There was a reserved space just under my Miranda litho for her action figure.

Series 2 would be great - it won't be done by DC though, finger crossed for Art Asylum!

I think we need to hear who will make Series 2 and since prototypes were already made it shouldn't take too long.

Those were DC's prototypes though. Whichever company now has the license is going to make their own figures completely unrelated to DC's series 2. We aren't going to be getting series 2 by a new company; we're going to be getting the new company's Series 1. Which also means that whichever characters are made will most likely differ. Who knows when we might here about any new figures; the earliest we might here something is around when Mass Effect 3 is out.

I'm excited for the idea of a new company taking over. ME figures have so much potential and so many iconic characters that could be made. Can't wait to spend my money on them! My dream... is to have like the HALO figures where they'll make a scale Mako and Hammerhead... ahh! Would love to rock those vehicles with my crew on my desk.

I'm sure that if there are more figures with a different company, they'll likely start from scratch.  There were times that action figure licenses were transferred so there was no break in continuity (like the Star Trek license from Art Asylum to Diamond Select Toys).  I'm hoping that the new company will at least take into consideration the figures already released and match the scale to DC Direct; there's no point to changing scale unless they want to go to a totally different size like 4" or 3 3/4".  The new company might want to release their own Shepard but re-releasing a Grunt, Thane, and Tali in the early waves for a similar scale line of figures is just going to kill interest.

I would hate to see a situation where the new company stops after one series and we get stuck with figures that don't look good on a shelf with the DC Direct figures.

^ good point. I would imagine they do a different size figure. I've always enjoyed smaller figures myself.... the cost is more affordable meaning I spend more and get more. Nothing like taking a 3 3/4 Shepard up against Clone Troopers and Cobra forces!!!!

Damn those look so good. Makes me wish DC weren't such idiots... Would have got a Garrus and Mordin then (and Liara in Series 3 if all had gone to plan haha)

Actually that's a really bad example - DST bought out AA, so there wasn't actually ever any changeover. AA still makes the figures, it's just that DST does the ditribution.

Hmmm... I got that too. The item doesn't actually appear in the rewards catalog. I suppose there's a chance if the exclusive deal was already made it could still come out...
