For me I feel its a PC AW/SH tank. Seeing as AW tanks can't hold agro as easily as S&S warriors, the rest of the party is at risk of getting their arses handed to them out of the blue (freaking Zeveran is an agro magnet >(...), its good to be able to rev any fallen party members, and in tight spots, you can heal yourself better than BM mage tanks.
Though if you intend to solo nightmare, BM/AW is the way to go.
Thoughts?
Who makes the best tank in your opinion?

Define " best tank". Unless you can narrow down your answer, people should have wildly different opinions.

Yeah... though AW/BM and AW/SH can survive longer than a sword/board warrior in a one on one fight, I'm going to have to go with Dwarven Templar/Reaver. Between Knight's Armor, Dwarven 10% magic immunity, and magic and physical resistance runes, you can make him almost as unkillable as a full grown AW, but he has the added bonus of being able to hold aggro really easily. And as holding aggro is, in my opinion, the very definition of a "tank," I'm going to have to claim a PC Dwarven Tempalr/Reaver is the best "tank" in the game.

Rogues come with a built-in drop-aggro button. It's labeled Stealth. Some also like playing dead.Archereon wrote...

Kombra: sadly as soon as they drop stealth, they aggro everything...
Nuculerman: If you gear an AW right, they have large enough mana pools to do decent damage while being practically invincible. (rock armor+arcane shield+shimmering shield+combat magic+healer buffs+massive armor= ridiculous amounts of survivability despite a health pool of 160)

Have to go with Nuclearman - you just can not beat a SnS tank for defense and aggro. An AW is nice and all, but a SnS warrior with Glyph of Warding and/or Heroic Defense is practically unkillable.
Not a fan of the tank AW. Mages are too strong to waste playing tank. At least in a party.

I don't think I'm wasting my AW putting him as tank...There's a reason I wear all +mana gear...
And I'm playing on nightmare before you ask...The only time I had to turn down the difficulty was for the high dragon (I was out of potions, and when I leave, I always forget to come back and kill it, which results in Leliana's death, something I find unacceptable.)
