I think traitors like Yoshimo from BG2 brings a lot of emotions and OMFG feeling....do you think a traitorous crew member would be cool? If yes who?

I think a good traitor would be Miranda...she works for Cerebus and we all know TIM is going to betray us

What do you think?

Kelly.

We think she's dead but it was all done with holograms.

She resigns from Cerberus and tells TIM to f*** off, and even when she doesn't resign, she expresses her deep concern for keeping the base and giving it to TIM.

I don't think this game needs a traitor.

I much rather have a "shepard is in prison and escapes" start of me 3 than a traitor

When we think about it....maybe the council is indoctrinated....they are still keeping their eyes closed on the reapers even after the evidence was in their faces

Actually, that'd be cool. Better than making him a Cyborg Zombie

Maybe a squad mate you pick up on early in the game turns out to be a new type of indoctrinated. One who keeps their mind, but has an unwavverying loyalty for the Reapers. Maybe it would be a female turian and you also have a batarian as a squad, who we all think is the traitor due to past predjudices.

The plot twist at the end was Shepard was the lead Reaper the whole time.

Sure Shepard was hunting down Reapers and gathering information about them, but at the end you find out Shepard was the one abducting Human Colonies, indoctrinating Saren, rallying the Geth. Everything else was a red herring.

The end of ME 3 will have Harbinger hunt down Shepard to clear his name of being a Reaper.

I think whoever died on Virmire being "only mostly dead" and becoming Saren Mk II would be the most impactful, or possibly Tali betraying you for a chance at that house on the homeworld.

This is a good idea....we would really be like OMG....I remember Yoshimo...I never expected him to betray me (only in the beggining)

How about this: there is a traitor, and he/she gets Shepard in prison. You try to escape for 80% of the game, but Shepard sees to much horrors and hangs him/herself in the end - thus ending ME3. It will be shocking and unexpected.

Blah to both ideas.

Mark my words, Kelly Reaper.

Sure. Sorry, I got carried away.

They don't need to put in a traitor to make the story interesting and moving. Their story-telling skills are better than that, come on. Just because it's an adventure game, full of action (you know, a space opera), doesn't mean it has to include every possible story twist and gimmick they can shove in.

Shepard has a good squad, there are tensions in it already. Those characters can create a lot of drama. The possibilities are endless. Why use the easy backstab story? (or if it's a Krogan, a facestab?).

This would be good...but maybe not in the traitor way....maybe more:

Ash: My job is to stop you...you work for Cerebus and I will never forgive you even if we saved the galaxy together

Shep: Dam....

YOU WILL DIE LAST. AFTER WATCHING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY BURN, THIS PLATFORM WILL MAKE IT SLOW AND PAINFUL.

Just kidding. I hope to god it isn't Tali, Shepard has done so much for her. It would just be a cheap shot on BW's part.

I know a lot of people probably won't like this but I think it would be cool to have a traitor. I think that the traitor will be Legion. First because we had to fight geth in the first game. Second it because he just comes out of no where and we accept everything he tells us to be the truth. But if you think about it he would be the ultimate traitor. He an AI, he has no feeling. He could kill his own people without hesitation or remorse. I like Legion to and I think that would give the most surprised feeling. Better then having a new character from ME3 to do it.

It won't be Tali, I doubt they'll even be a traitor, this thread is purely speculative.

LEGION is the awesome pants. Don't you ever talk about Legion that way.

Because it works and bring in good emotions...they can continue their good story telling and all...but just spice thing up even more don't you think?

In every game where you realize someone betrayed you in some way...you will get carried away and all....it an old formula but it always work
