I just started my 6th walkthrough using a character from a previous "career", a Vanguard.
I kept the bonus training I selceted in the previous gameplay, on Freedom Progress I was able to use the Assault Rifle, and I'd like to know if I can select a new upgrade when I'll reach the Collector Ship.
I'd like to select the Claymor shotgun. Can I select it and keep my previously chosen Assault rifle?
I renounced to 10000 units of each mineral, 150000 credits and 190 Paragon points in order to use a Mass Effect 2 character instead of one from the first game.
If I cannot add an additional weapon/training during the Collector Ship mission this "price" would be too high; thus I'll create a new character.
Thank You for your assistance.

Nope, once you pick your choice your stuck with that weapon for the rest of the game.

I do not believe you can select a new training/weapon on the Collector's Ship, if you start a new game using a previous ME2 character.

nope your stuck with one choice per character. No changing unless you modify your save game I think.

Thank you for your assistance. Since using a previous Mass Effect 2 character will cost me many resources and morality points without granting me an additional bonus weapon I'll start a new character, importing him from Mass Effect.

Importing from ME1 gives you more bonuses anyway, but although you'll have to go weapon hunting again.

Yes, but NG+ is harder. Dunno, if you're doing a 6th playthrough I'd imagine you'd want the hardest setting.
Then again the game is pretty easy to an infiltrator (my char)

Yes NG+ is harder because enemies are matched to character's current level, likely level 30, but you don't have the upgrades you researched when your character reaches such level in a "standard playthrough".Fritz3D wrote...

You are right, since this my 6th playthrough I want a challage but I really like the credits and minerals bonus.
So I'm playing a new character on Insanity again, even though I'm not a fan of it.
I really like the challage but seeing a common mercenary possessing stronger shields than the human who defeated Saren and the Sovreign is a little irritating sometimes
Shepard have access to the best technology in the known Galaxy. However I'm having fun in playing the game on Insanity as a Vanguard. I already played as Soldier and Infiltrator on Insanity; now it's Vanguard's time.

Yeah, if you have the save game editor you can edit the save game to give you other weapons though I heard you can't go above 6. Also, you won't be able to reselect that weapon once you pick up another weapon of that type.Andaius20 wrote...

I.E. on my latest new game+ soldier on PC, I gave him both the widow and the revenant. It really is the best combo weaponwise.
The problem is that I can't afford to pick up the viper again when I do Thane's recruitment mission or I will have to reedit the save game file to give myself the widow again.
It's also nasty because you can give your other classes those guns too but I don't suggest doing this until after you beat the game and are just playing for fun now.
