This is about applying the purchused/found armor customizations in game, NOT the Preorder armor. Dr.Pepper helmets are allowed since they appear in the armor customizing screen for that part.

Credits aside, if you had all the armor kit you could find in the game, what settings would you make for each class?

I tend to run with the Recon hood for the 5% weapon damage instead of the Visor's 10% headshot damage even though I'm an Infiltrator. And I have no idea what to do with the Death Mask as 10% influence makes no sense (influence to what?) in any situation.

What parts do you use on your armor and why?

Sentry Interface - more shields and is not obstructive

Aegis Vest - more durability outside Assault Armor

Off-Hand Ammo Pack - to help with Vindi/Sniper Ammo

Ordinance Packs - More HW ammo is never a bad thing

Amplifier Plates - Power damage

Sentinel class.

The Death Mask makes it easier to pass the Paragon/Renegade checks(Blue/Red text) while you're wearing it. Good for missions, but doesn't affect squad member fights.

Sentinels should have a lot of shield gear. If they're running Assault Armor they probably should get the C. chest piece (-10% shield regeneration rate). Casters should go for power %.

I think the combat classes should have a lot of weapon damage and power % boosts along with health especially if they pick up reave as a bonus talent.

Infiltrator:

Umbra Visor: 5% power damage

N7 Chest Plate: 3% power damage

N7 Shoulder : 3% weapon damage

Heavy Damping Gauntlets: 5% sheilds

N7 Greives (legs): 3% sheilds

I like the extra power damage as it applies both to my character's powers and to the ammo powers.

Otherwise, I switch between the Umbra Visor and the Recon hood for the extra weapon damage.

I'm not a fan of the ammo arms as it usually only means one extra shot for the widow and that's just not worth it, imho.

All weapon classes should have the head that gives 5% weapon damage and the gloves that also gives 5% weapon damage and some customization that suit your taste. Power classes should have Blood Dragon Armor.

For Vanguard...

Head: Kuwashii Visor (looks nice and you get 10% head shot damage)
Chest: Shield Harness (5% shield)
Shoulders: Strength Boost Pads (25% melee damage, most important armor piece)
Hands: Stabilization Gauntlets (5% weapon damage)
Legs: Life Support Webbing (10% health)

i would rather get more ammo for hw for vanguard. 10% health is hardly anything. 10% more ammo = another shot with cain!! and i despise the 10% hp on feet looks

I can see if being worthwhile if you use cain, but otherwise I would take the health. I generally use the grenade launcher. You make a good point about how they look though.

Is the headshot damage piece really the best choice for a Vanguard? Even at close range, how many of the 8 pellets will actually hit the head? Or is one enough to get the bonus for all pellets?

If you're on the PC, you can edit the Coalesced.ini file to match up the power you like to the look you prefer. In all cases, I prefer the look of the default N7 legs over any of the upgrades, so I just switch the effect I want from the armor piece its on to them.

Vanguard

Sentry Interface (+5% shields) OR Recon Hood (+5% weapon damage)

Capacitor Chestplate (reduced shield delay)

Strength Boost Pads (+25% melee)

Heavy Damping (+5% shields) OR Stabilization Gauntlets (+5% weapon Damage) (opposite of headwear)

Stim Conduits (storm speed)

I neglected to add power damage because you get enough biotic damage/cooldown/etc from armor upgrades. I alternatively max out my shields if you like Barrier as a bonus talent.
