I actullay thought Zeveran and Sten would make the best grey wardens of the group...personally.

To Vim.

On Morrigan's pregnant endings, it mentions she's crossing Frostback Mountains. I infer from that she's heading Westward, which would put her in Orlais. The game doesn't confirm it. It's just what I get out of it. In some endings she's already in Orlais. In the other endings she's traveling in that direction.

Good point.

As for Leliana, I only mean to suggest she can get to Orlais from all her endings--not that she's already there. She only has one ending that already puts her in Orlais, it's true. The others (ignoring the suicide one) are short-term endings: they talk about something she's going to do at the moment. Continue traveling with the warden for awhile. Stay in Denerim with Warden for the time being. Lead some templars to Andraste's Ashes. Investigate Darkspawn. But none of that stuff is until the end of time. So it leaves Bioware free to put her wherever they want should they want to continue her character. I'm guessing they'll put her wherever Dragon Age 2 is. (Which I further guess is going to be Orlais.)

Given the mishandling of the US scenario, I agree with you that her suicide ending should be ignored. If the warden hadn't really died (or if he had returned before she finished her bardic masterpiece) then she wouldn't have really suicided. The problem is that as short as some of these are, the length of time between Origins and Awakening is also extremely short.

As for the Leliana and Zevren endings that involve rebuilding the Wardens, yeah, those are the tough ones to explain away. I mean, given the lack of time stamps on most of the endings you can sort of make the story work in your head in terms of getting to Awakenings. But those two are awkward.

Very. If Zevran decides to stay with you to help rebuild the wardens as your friend instead of a lover, there's no "for a time" warning which I'm guessing they threw in at the last moment so they could find a way to leave them out of the expansion. Dog, Zevran & Leliana should all have had the ability to continue on into Awakening for the sake of game continuity.

Forget Oghren, Dog should make a return

"We wanted to bring Oghren back because we felt we didn't have a chance to really develop his character in DA:O, and wanted to really make him just as interesting and deep as the original companions from Origins"

"When we decided to put in a old character from DA:O, we encountered many problems, first off, we knew none of the romance options could come back as party members, because by the time of Awakening, they were all either very busy, or were working for you and would not have been able to continue the romance, so we were stuck with the rest of the group. Our polls showed that Oghren was well received by many of the fan community, and we always wanted to expand on his character more, so it felt like a perfect fit"

And Zevran and Leliana are perfect to explain, both are spies, or sneaky sorts, and you are now the Arl of Amarinthene, and Lord of Vigils Keep, you will need scouts/spies to find out whats going on, you will need recruiters to find you more guards/possible Warden recruits, you will need Assassins to get rid of rivals, and you will need combat trainers to teach your guards, all are roles both of them could fill quite well.

I think that Oghren is the only char in Origins which no matter how you end the storyline NEVER leaves, the others may stay depending on a specefic ending but Oghren always stays really

So fair play even it makes sense, even though i would prefer Leliana to return

I agree. Had we the option in Origins, I'd have forced both  to become Grey Wardens in return for their lives. By the time Origins is over however and they've fought well, I no longer feel it appropriate to force it on them, even though technically I suppose you could still conscript them. Sten wants to return to his people and Zevran is fine with being the Grey Warden's "mascot"/pet assassin, but he has no desire to become a Grey Warden himself if you ask him.

Dog is a negative because he can die, and quite easily at that (unless you play a HN). You even get an option to kill him when you meet him.

I can accept this as a reason to bring Oghren back. They really should have had the hero find Oghren in Redcliffe instead of Orzammar.  There's a lot of dialog for him in Origins that most players will never see because given the way the game was designed, most players don't hit Orzammar until very late in the game.

What does them working for you have to do with not being able to continue the romance? That statement doesn't make sense to me.

One of my biggest nitpicks regarding the original game was how you could travel back and forth from one end of the kingdom to the other and back without it affecting time urgent quests in the least.  Realism took a back-seat to flexibility.  There's nothing wrong with a story that's linear when it makes sense to handle it that way.  So it strikes me as incredibly hypocritical for the developers to suddenly pull that as an excuse for why Zevran or Leliana can't be with you, the old "they're busy elsewhere" excuse.  It comes across as a contrivance. And regardless, none of these reasons work for dog.
