I just wanted to point out a couple of things surrounding the Mabari Warhound since I'm on my second playthrough.

At the beginning of Ostagar the Ash Warrior Leader says they fight side by side with their warhounds, then the cutscene has them order a cannon fodder charge of them. Pretty dumb. Also, he says that they build an immunity to the blood of darkspawn through combat, but that the taint eventually claims them.

Considering that the warhound has the same taint as a Grey Warden, wouldn't it be possible for the Archdemon's death to possess the warhound the same way as a Grey Warden? Hell, I gave my dog lots of bones... I'm sure he wouldn't mind sacrificing himself for his loyal master. My dog even got the last hit on the Archdemon- so I'm pretty sure it would have 'sploded and we'd bury him in a cardboard box in the backyard.

Better yet, if you're implying dogs have no souls, then he would be another boss to overcome as the Archdemon possesses his soulless husk.

Remember, the Circle of Magi were involved with your Joining. It is more than just drinking the darkspawn blood that makes you a Grey Warden.

Wonder where the circle of Magi was involved in the joining...but yes, it is more than just darkspawn blood, this is Archdemon's blood that you need.

The Archdemon blood that he was nom-noming on while fighting the Archdemon you mean?

Also, that doesn't explain why the Archdemon can't invade the dog via the taint.

well if the first time he taste archdemon's blood is during the last battle and still continue to fight like nothing happens, maybe he's just immune to it and the taint didnt claim our warhound.

The only plot hole I noticed was Loghain mentioning something about how revealing Alistair as Maric's illegitimate son would have "ruined" Rowan. The thing is, Rowan was dead before Alistair was born.

Alistair's conversation's reguarding Lyrium deal with the Templar's...no?

EG the circle of Maji Keep Templar's addicted to Lyrium to keep them in line...

Mabey I missed something though.
