early game, and first run through with vg, you gotta use it more conservatively than late game. once you've got champion, heavy charge and the biotic cooldown upgrade, it can be used alot more aggresively, letting you charge in and charge out again in 4.2s(i think), refilling shields as you go. also, just learning where/when/who to charge takes *at least* half your first play through. but again, charge becomes very powerful with redundant generator, hardened shields and biptic cooldown upgrades, these are the 3 special upgrades gained from dmg protection series (2/5 and 3/5) and biotic damage upgrades (3/5).

As people have said, Charge can be used a LOT more late game than early game.



No other class scales as much with uprades.



It must be awful doing a NG+ Insanity game as a Vanguard for the first 1/3 of the game....

No, it's not your fault.  This forum is where you come if you want to talk about classes and builds or have questions.  It's not the place to come if you want to complain about ME2 in general or talk about romances.  Because of the thread spam in here you couldn't find a thread that answers every question about Vanguards.
