It was a bummer that Shepard couldn't do anything for Lia'Vael on the Citadel. She was left alone to fend for herself.
Even if it was just a small addition that was snuck in some other DLC, it would be cool to be able to help her out somehow.

Quarians are the most helpless and useless race in the galaxy. No offense but totally not worth it as DLC.massive_effect wrote...
(This was the mini-mini-quest with the Quarian, Volus, and C-Sec Officer about the stolen chit.)

I feel even worse for that Quarian slave on Ilium.
I mean there should've been the option to buy her outright.....
....
....Oh, and free her right after of course....
You can free her. Just talk the company representative into paying her contract in full, and she'll release her right away, to become an ordinary employee of the firm. But she ended up badly because of making a lot of stupid choices, and she recognised that nothing but her own stupidity had gotten her to that point. In contrast, Lia'Vael has done everything right, yet the world is still taking a big dump on her. It would have been nice to help her find a job; maybe we'll run to her in ME3, in any case.

What happens if you do either of these quests with Tali?
I don't know about the slave, but on Lia'Vael's Tali gets angry with the C-Sec officer and volus.

Thanks. I always do that quest at the beginning and didn't even think about that possibility until the other day

I did find some Fighters that i could give to her, or she could sell them to get a used frieghter or frigate if she was lucky.

Tali gets a few lines of dialog in response to the others.
As for the one on Ilium, She just has one line after Shepard's paragon/renegade dialog.

Keep in mind the Normandy isn't a homeless shelter, essentially that would be like recruiting hobos due to pity, despite that they actually have no way to contribute the team, which is supposed to consist of elite specialists.

Haha yeah. Recruiting her is a bit much; but helping her find a job or offering help in some other way it right along the lines of what I would have expected the Paragon Shep to be able to do (Like he does with everyone else).
Maybe even be able to talk to Bailey about the C-Sec d-bag; not standing in front of her with countless credits in your pocket and unmatched fame/pull feeling like an ass.
