BioWare and Sony have now published a patch for the PS3. Please check your Playstation Home network or Dragon Age: Origins launcher for details.

Patch notes:
-         Various changes have been made to code and resources to support the Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening expansion pack.

-         At higher levels, non-player characters now receive a bonus to armor penetration. This mitigates an unintentional imbalance with well-armored high-level characters, since armor penetration previously did not scale as aggressively as armor itself did.

-         Elite-rank enemies (lieutenants) can no longer be shattered. This preserves the intended tactical design of many combat encounters.

-         Portraits for summoned creatures were displaying improperly while in the party camp. This no longer occurs.

-         All book-based specializations will now automatically unlock once the Warden reaches level 14. Books will still be available from vendors so you can unlock these specializations before level 14.

-         Modified game-side achievement system to allow adding new ones.

-         Fixed a streaming problem that made props disappear. This no longer occurs.

Yes, Paul, this is that patch.

Welcome, Ether. I've been playing it over and over doing different things. Since I can't get Awakening for a while thanks to having FFXIII pre-ordered, I have to make due.

At the top of my wishlist of fixes for the PS3 version is to have a way of scrolling that doesn't cause quests and codex items to be automatically marked as read. Since you cannot see the items below the highlighted item, you don't have a way to tell if what you have selected is something you've read before or not.

I like that they added the books thing just wish I hadnt spent 70 hours worth of various playthroughs to get every spec allready. I am very much excited about DAA but my wife will be playing it first since I bought it for her as she loves this series more than me. But thank god for FF13

I'm on my third playthrough. It's got great replay value, so I don't mind playing it. But I'd rather they give us the same fixes the PC got. I've heard a lot of rumors that the actual "Patch" to fix some of those issues, like the dex issue for daggers, will be part of Awakening, and I would LOVE an answer to that, but it seems Bioware doesn't like to answer those questions.

I see there is no dex fix and thus the twitter alert got me excited for no reason.

Of course I'm probably the only person who've yet to play through the game because I'm waiting for the dex fix. :P

Oddshrub, we may never get the dex fix. Rumors that the "Bug Fix" patch consoles are owed is in Awakening, and I'd love to know if it's true, but as I said above, Bioware seems to like avoiding that answer.

So would I. Hmm. I guess we'll find out in a little under two weeks' time (the DAA disc comes out on a Tuesday, with all the other new games).

Well, I won't until I read the forum. Pre-ordering a $60 game for my b-day kinda kills the chance to get a $30 expansion for a game I already have, at least for a while... I likely won't get Awakening for a few months, if not longer.

Just put it on the credit card! **LOL** Just kidding. I'm a natural saver, so dropping $30 or $40 on an expansion pack to DAO is no big deal for me. That, plus the fact that I live in cramped quarters means a person can only acquire "x" number of physical possessions.
