I want my next MaleShep to stay single for ME2 purposes, but I want Ashley to survive and I still want to talk to both her and Liara. Can it be done?

eventually if you talk to both of them it will turn into a romance for both then you'll have the whole confrontation scene and FORCED to pick one (even if you say "Can I Have you Both?". (the liara relation ship will continue though) .. But when you go to Illos you can turn them down and not have a romance .

But that's not staying single, that's just staying sexless.



Hmm, if you just tell Liara you're not interested, that's fine. With Ashley, you have to be an ass. In her second conversation, with the mail from her sister, just pick all the bottom options. that's guarenteed to kill any romance. This worked for me. You miss that entire conversation though.



Someone else might know if you can kill the romance, and still get that whole conversation.

Have you ever thought of COMPLETELY ignoring both of them and NEVER talking to them while on board the Normandy?



The ideas suggested above may not lead to sex, but they will definitely mean there is an ongoing relationship. If you don't know, you don't actually have to bed your LI for them to be, well, your LI.



So like I said, simply ignore them and don't talk to them throughout the whole game. It's okay if you talk to the others (Wrex, Garrus, Tali, Joker, etc), but stay away from Ashley and Liara and you''ll be fine for sure.

The former is a much more reliable and simpler way, though.

So if talk to neither one and you let Ash die on Virmire is there no one's picture in your cabin in ME2? Normally, it would be your LI. Just wondering if they pick Liara as your default regardless.

At the Normandy grounded scene just be an emo kid to the one coming at you. I only spoke to Ashley once and she was there wanting to comfort me. Then we standed there in an awkward silence moment when Joker called, no huggin' and whatnot.

That results in no Ilos romance scene, you stay single, win.

Don't know that I'd put it quite that strongly, but essentially, yes   Though your mileage may vary.

If you so much as glance in the direction of an ME1 LI, they'll get all up in your face and you'll have to beat them off with a sledgehammer before they realize you, in fact, DO NOT WANT to jump their bones this very instant.  They're like extremely amorous octopuses.  So just ignore them, and all will be swell.

you can be nice to them,but in both liara and ashley you can in somepoint say wery bluntly that you are not intrested. But i think it's stupid how every female falls before shepard (and with femshep the males). But it's even worse in ME2
