So how did Yvonne Strahovski get the part of Miranda?

i liked her character, idk why people hate some characters so much. I liked them all. Some not as much as others but i didnt hate anyone there all pretty interesting
It was hard for me to judge Miranda negatively in any case as I LIKE Strahovsky and she is what I see when I look at Miranda. It IS a cartoon rendering of Strahovsky so why should it be a surprise that it doesn't look real? I think they did a fantastic job, given the limitations, of rendering Strahovsky into the game, albeit they should have stuck with Strahovsky as a FULL body model rather than blowing up the breasts to major jiggly size, or enhancing her butt to be PARTICULARLY round and ripe. Strahovsky has an athletic type female body type, not a playboy bunny body (thank Cthulhu!)...so why use her lovely face but dick up her bod?
As for voice acting...I didn't find ANY of it particularly great. NONE of it is TV worthy, just game worthy (and keep in mind HOW such "acting" is done: alone, in a booth, with scarce information or context, little or no interaction with another actor to help 'real it up', etc).

The depths of forum immaturity can surprise me sometimes. Yvonne Strahovski got the part because she was the best voice actor for the part. Simple as that.
Why say Strahovski and not Tricia Helfer? How about Adam Baldwin and Martin Sheen?
Oh, only the character YOU thought was bad got the part by sleeping with someone at Bioware.
Woah Nelly! As much as I like Strahovsky and setch...you cannot say "she was the best actor for the part". The Miranda role could be voiced or modeled by any number of female actors. There is no shame or problem if someone in the development specifically chose any particular actor simply because they LIKE her (or him). Hell, there are a number of actresses I LIKE. Not all of them would seem to fit the part IF I am not only using their voice, but their image, in the game but there would certainly be a large number to fit both bills. It doesn't require sleeping with Yvonne (though I would love to!) to choose her. You are a developer, you LIKE an actor or actress for a part, they are available and game for the part? Choose them! No mystery there, no subtext. SOMEONE has to be chosen. No reason to insult the developers or the actress to explain the reason for their part.
My bet would simply be that maybe one or more of the devs is a fan of "Chuck" and so Strahovsky came up automagically in discussions of who would play Miranda. No nonsense other reasons required.
