Is the account under which I'm typing this sentence my BioWare account? Because I remember way back in 2008 or late 2007, I had another account which I used on the following website:

http://masseffect.bioware.com/me1/

However, that account is simply gone now. I don't remember my password nor do I remember which email I used for it. Which of the two accounts would be considered my BioWare account? Are you Social guys using the same accounts you used for that website a few years ago? What am I missing?

I'm only asking this because of the Cerberus Network thing. I don't want to have trouble trying to redeem my code when I finally get my hands on it.
Also, I'd just like to point out that this account I'm using on Social is linked to my XBL gamertag.

If the account you're using is linked to your XBL gamertag, then this account is what you should use to redeem the codes. Check out this guide to make absolutely sure that is the case:

[EDITED AND REMOVE DUE TO COMPLETE FAILURE TO POST LINKS, PLEASE SEE BELOW.]
I can't believe I fail so much. I better go away from my computer for a while.

And to clarify: This Bioware account is also your EA account (if that's not explained in the tutorial in the link above, can't remember).

And to further clarify: That guide is not only for finding missing dlc but for making sure EA account and XBL gamertag are linked. Just check that and you'll be fine.

What would make this my EA account? The email assigned to it?

I already have an EA account with the exact same email as this account. Both of which are linked to my gamertag, which itself uses the same email address as well. Is that good enough for me to be able to access/use the CN?

sorry, I accidentally posted wrong link and just edited it now. Please make sure you check out my edited link. :)

Yes, if your XBL gamertag is linked to the EA account and thus Bioware account, then you are good to go. The EA account and the Bioware account are the same account actually.

ok, something is really screwed up with my links. I can't seem to get it right. This link below should get you to the right topic. I can't believe that I'm actually failing so hard. So now, I will only post the link in text form:

Glad to hear it. One last thing, do you know if the username used for accounts affects the process by any chance? Because I have another EA account that's not linked to my gamertag but with the same username as my BioWare account, even though it uses a different email of mine.

Basically, my accounts all share the same one email, but they have different usernames for each.

Ok, that's something I cannot answer I think. The gamertag doesn't need to share the same name, because that's obviously just another account tied to the EA account.

But if I understand you right you're saying that your EA account doesn't share the same name as your Bioware account? And that you have another EA account with this name? You should make sure this is correct before redeeming any code. I didn't think that was possible, but I can obviously be wrong.

What I can help with, and what is shown in the guide I (finally) linked to, is that when you redeem codes on this network (Bioware social) you're able to see the gamertag connected to this account. You'll see it in "step 7 of 8" in the guide I linked to. Make sure that the gamertag is connected to this account.

Like it says in step 7:

Before you enter your code, verify that there is a gamertag listed under your Email Address.

That's right. My BioWare account does not share the same name as my EA account to which the gamertag is linked.

And I've verified it. My gamertag IS linked to this account. I'm just afraid the username might be an issue.

Well, then I don't think there's any problem. You could of course do like I did and redeem the CN card via your gamertag from the in-game menu in ME2 on your console (if it's connected to the Internet). Then Cerberus Network will show up on the EA account that is connected to the gamertag you used to redeemed it with. And you will be sure that it's actually connected to your gamertag of choice, which ultimately is the most important thing.

So the different username isn't an issue? The fact that I have another EA account that is not linked to my gamertag but does share the same username as this one makes me think some sort of mix up might happen and I get an unnecessary "already in use" error message.

Yeah well, that actually confuses me as well. But I don't see why there would be an error if you've already checked and verified that your gamertag is actually connected to this account. It seems good to me at least. Or as I said, you could redeem it from your Xbox (in-game). Then it will show up here as well.

But ok, good luck! I don't think I can help you any more. Maybe somebody else can verify this user name issue?

Never mind. I should be fine this way, despite the different names. I personally don't think the username I'm using here on this forum matters; only the EA account username does. Since they both share the same email.

Thank you very much regardless. You've been very helpful. :)
