I have been a PC gamer for about 25 years now. I started playing computer games at age 10 on an 8088 turbo XT computer with a CGA monitor. Currently each day after work I send time unwinding playing various games and right now my game of choice is Mass Effect 2. I loved the first one logging some 400 hours on it, and second one is even better, big congrats to the whole team that made this game possible. I have a pretty high-end gaming computer that’s IO interfaces include a Logitech G19, G13, and a Mamba mouse with the destructor mat (that I use always in corded mode with up to date drivers and firmware.) The reason I bought these IO devices is I did my research and I wanted the very best and price really was not an issue. Just prior to loading Mass Effect 2 I bought a G9x not because it was the best (from what I read) but because I liked the homogenous look of it with the other Logitech devices. I have completed ME2 4 times through and once on insanity mode in this G19/G13/G9x setup not thinking too much about it. Then last week my G9x broke; I called Logitech and got it RMA-ed. I switched back to G19/G13/Mamba setup and when snipping and I felt I could not hit the broadside of the barn from the inside. All settings are exactly the same 2000dpi, 1000 times report rate. I just got my replacement G9x mouse last night and it could not come soon enough everything is back to normal and my accuracy has improved fivefold. I don’t understand it. The only difference between the two mice in my opinion is the weight. Could a few ounces of weight make that much deference?
Having the right mouse makes all the difference in the world.
