You need to shop around. Whatever you pay weekly on fast food can't possibly total much less than what you could get from a supermarket anyway. I can't help you there. If you're really that tight on cash, consider applying for food stamps. At this point I'm repeating myself so... not much else I can say. Advice number 1: see a nutritionist. They will probably give you what seems like impossible advice too, but you can be a lot more specific with them about your exact diet, and a good one will give better advice and maybe have ideas on where to shop in your area.

Well, I haven't seen a nutritionist in person but I have learned from TV that a calorie is a calorie.  If you eat 1000 calories a day will make you lose weight regardless of where it comes from.  It could be salad or fried chicken.  That is why I have been doing some research on the lowest calorie fast food items that still taste good.  Some of the fresco items on the Taco Bell drive thru diet are pretty tasty and the new Kentucky Grilled Chicken is healthy and delicious.

I think if I can get down to 2000 calories a day I'll lose weight since that is the daily average.

Well, I have nothing else to add anyway so if it is trolling it's now moot. :P I considered that, as mentioned before... but there's a nagging part of me that has serious trouble ignoring someone asking for help. I rather take the chance he is trolling, and try, than dismiss him outright and feel bad over dimissing someone that may have a genuine problem. Anyway, since I have nothing else to contribute I'm off.

Just so you know, I am considering all of your advice.  The advice seems like sound advice it's just that following it is going to require many drastic changes to my lifestyle that won't come easily.

Serious change rarely does. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you.  I was afraid everyone would just make fun of me but you were the only one to offer serious advice.

Treadmill (and any other anaerobic exercise) IS the way to go, but don't force yourself when you're not in shape. Don't go running at an angle or you'll be tasting your own blood soon enough if the spleen pains don't kill any motivation you might've had. Start with jogging and similar easier exercises because you need to gradually adjust your muscles to activity.. basically, you gotta pace yourself and over time slowly increase the difficulty. Other than that, I agree with what Seagloom already said.

Oh, and don't think diet alone will help you, at least not in a way you'll actually notice physically. Diet, a good one at least, is a supplement method to help you burn unwanted material through exercise, it's not a "miracle cure" that'll work on it's own. And remember to stretch prior to and after exercises if you don't want to walk like a robot tomorrow because your muscles ache.

This is why exercise is important. No one is going to survive on 100 calories a day. .

Sure you can, the average person can survive eating next to nothing over a month. (You need to get your vitamins and minerals though)
So HARD workout with eating very little food works like a charm, it may be hard and you wont like it, but it just works better than anything else. You only need some self discipline and willpower.

If you do it right without any compromises you will drop kilograms weekly instead of diets which need months to show some progress.

How are those contradictions?  I've been trying to eat/drink healthier for a while now and those are just a few examples.

"Running a marathon is actually a very fullfilling, rewarding experience. Extremely exhillerating. I pity the fat slobs who will never be able to experience the thrill of completing one.

Living healthfully is not hard. You don't have to go out of your way to do it, rather you just incorporate it into your lifestlye.

The foods I enjoy are foods which are healthy and the activities I enjoy are activities which are good for your health such as hiking, white water river rafting, mountain climbing, weight lifting etc.

Just because there are risks in life is no excuse to avoid living as fullfilling a life as possible."

Take a bow, Mavi.

I should be mad but... meh. It's hard to care when I was taking a writing break to begin with. Suffice it to say I won't bother next time. And to think friends wonder why I'm so often cynical...

I have a very simple lifestyle which works well, I do a lot of sports like cycling, weight lifting, running, basketball, football, swimming, I do sports 7 days a week. I burn so many calories each day that I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want as much as I want without getting fat at all.

No one faults you, Sea. Nothing you did was in the wrong. You can't blame yourself for being nice/helpful.

That does NOT make you healthy. That simply makes you fit. Big difference, there.

I thought losing weight was the mission?
The OP Seems to be too concerned about change of lifestyle in order to lose weight, but you wont lose weight with pushing buttons or thinking about diets. Without sports and exercises you wont change anything.

Well, I enjoy the way of having fun with lots of food without the drawback of gaining lots of weight. I also do enjoy sports. Win-win situation.

As long as I don't eat VERY unhealthy stuff each day it doesn't matter in my opinion.

I didn't create those posts. It's time I confess that I share this account with my brother who is the polar opposite of me when it comes to health.

Yes I know I should've explained that earlier and I apologize for the confusion.
