[Smoking helped my friend lose weight so I started smoking about a year ago and I can't tell whether or not it's helping.  I'm up to a pack a day but it's getting expensive.

Even if that did work, you are just trading one problem for another. If you are serious about loosing weight you shouldn't be asking advice in a video game forum.
