Do you have the game options at auto-level currently? If so, once you level you will not be able to distribute attribute points, skills, talents, or specializations.
What am I doing Wrong?

If you play on Xbox,the specialization boxes are shown above the attributes and below the character's portrait. I do not know what system you are using, but if it is Xbox it should be shown during level ups.

This is what it looks like on PC. From what I understand, the xbox should just have it above or below instead of to the side. You don't see ANY of this?

It will be underneath your character icon when you level up. It's the same on all platforms. *Under your character portrait* on the *very first page* it will have the four specializations listed. You have to actually pick which ones you want to use. Next time you level up, take a look at yourself. Beautiful, ravishing, gorgeous. Great. Now look down.

yup.. those boxes are not there. They have no icons in them
ETA: And that screen looks really not like the one i see on my Xbox 360. The only siimlar part is the Attribute list, but the rest of it doesn't look familiar.

You only see that particular screen when you level up.
If your specialisations are locked, do you perhaps have that problem brought on by the RtO title update?

but none of those bugs happened. I haven't specialized in anything so there was nothing to remove. According to the wiki article and update was made to fix this, and I didn't do Return to Ostagar until last night, right before I did the start of the Landsmeet quest.
ETA: I downloaded Return to Ostagar prior to starting the game. I bought this game back in November and only got around to playing it after finishing ME2.

I'm really at a loss, man. It's either a bug or you're staring right at it but don't see it. If you haven't already, you might want to start a thread in the 360 tech help forum and link back to this thread. Somebody there may have experience with this issue.
