I havent seen anyone mention it on this on the forums.

For the forth stage on a power, if u press A and X at the same time you get the power up and you get to keep the points u had just spent.

This allows you to have a maxed out chacter by a lvl 7.

This glitch is very easy to do and i would be amazed if they didnt find this out during testing.

Perhaps they put this in on purpose.

Thoughts?

I've heard about it. Do you press the buttons before you select the evolution or right after you select the power?

Actually you press both buttons when you pick the upgrade (before you choose which version).  At least I did it that way.  Once you choose, you go back to the screen with the points back in your pocket and the ability fully powered up.  You don't even need to be at level 7 if you do retrain powers.  You can have a max character after just doing the Mordin mission.

It works for both Shepard and your squad mates

Also, I just ranked up 2 times, did the glitch, but my squadmembers still only have the same amount of squad points they had before the rank up.

Everyone is just now finding this glitch out? I thought for sure it'd have been picked up on before now lol...Ive been doing this since a week after launch XD. Stumbled across it during one of my late night runs. Was in a hurry to pick my class specialization and I happened to drag my thumb across the X button while pressing A during my sleep haze lol. I laughed at first and was like "oops" then shrugged and went ahead and chose anyway because I thought for sure the game would correct itself. Didnt actually notice what had "happened" until I leveled up again and had 6 points this time instead of 4.

I had heard about it like a couple of weeks ago, but chose not to do it.



I will most likely use this solely for my squadmates because for the most part 51 points is good enough for shepard... though maxing out all skills on my engineer with dominate would be kindof fun, because I am always making compromises with that character because I love all of the skills the engineer offers.

It's unrealistic to expect play testers to find every tiny exploit possibly across multiple platforms, especially in addition to everything else they have to test and make sure works. 

I wouldn't be suprised if they did infact find this bug, but it was simply such a obscure and chance glitch that it was put on low priority compared to other bugs.

I don't think they ever did fix that Loric Quien paragon/renegade dialogue bug. Just not worth patching.

You should be fine. devs have indicated that it is probably not something they will patch. Single player game so it doesn't affect anyone.

I have used it but it sort of takes away the interest for me.  Why take away that little level up endorphin hit?
