I've already played ME2 on 360 but I wanted to edit the saves so that I could hear all of the extra recorded dialog.  I've got a computer that Runs Crysis and Crysis Warhead on High settings and I already know about the Securom issue alot of people had with Crysis Warhead and EA.  Crysis Warhead is still installed which means so is Securom, but I wanted to know if the PC version of ME2 also had some form of DRM, and if it does how invasive is it.  Any help is appreciated.

You would probably get more info over in the technical support forum.

I have the PC version, on Steam. I actually don't know what DRM ME2 uses.

The fact that I don't know is a good thing, I'd say.

I believe I know the answer, but unlike others around here, I don't like to give out inaccurate information.

Bioware said that for ME2 the only 'drm' at all is a disc check; they are relying on the Cerberus content (which is all secure) to encourage people not to pirate the game.

I got my copy from Impulse (download). The game installed Adobe AIR and EA Component Activation. That's all it uses for the version I have.

The retail version requires no on-line activation. It checks the cd-key but doesn't need the internet to do so.
