hi,just finished return to ostagar but could not figure out what is up with the raven or find the mages key.does the bird have it?thanks.

Raven? You get the mages key from a guy the first time you go to Ostagar.

If you didnt get the key from the prisioner your first time there its in one of the cages that are knocked over.

return to ostagar / I have run all over ostagar and the only cage i can find is the one with the bereskarn in it

The cage you're looking for is the one that had the "deserter" in it the first time you went to Ostagar. That cage is located in the area you first enter when you get the Ostagar the second time.

hi,for a level 15 mage i must be blind.I did see two cages knocked over and buried in snow with a dead guy in one and a crate in front of them to loot but no key.If i continue on with the game i will not be able to get back into ostagar.help.

i went back to the beginning of the game and found the hungry guy in the cage i don't recall getting the key and i don't have it so it should be there in the future. right?

I think he means the raven near the ogre boss. Whenever I ran through it last night the damn bird kept running into my character repeatedly during the cutscene. xD

Those were the correct cages.  Did you get the key from the prisoner when you first got to Ostagar?  If so, you won't be able to loot it off his body when you return.

There's a rather nice mage staff in there. There's a mod floating around that will give you the item if you missed out on it.
