Maybe the cure will fix Thane's condition but handicap him in some way. The point would be so he could still spend time with his son.

My guess? It is Kaiden or Thane related. The reason why I speculate is purely because of the immensity of the former's support thread and the latter's fan group- which I think overwhelms all other male interests. I venture that would make the bigger groups happy.

That said I am entirely prepared that I'll be proven wrong.

If it is romance related then not ALL Fem Sheps will be pleased as no one romanced the same person. If it IS Thane related, hell my Male characters would be glad because I used him in combat alot. Maybe it is a romance pack, lol, though I doubt it.

I doubt a cure for Thane would make sense for DLC. Maybe for the next game, but at this point the key drama of the relationship is loving a guy who's going to die soon. If DLC changed that, the romance arc of the first game would be a lot less significant.

Who knows, maybe we get a dinner with T.I.M. Real "sympathy for the devil"  style

If they really do have post ME2 missions that bridge to ME3...well that would be awesome.

Particularly if they do one for each character. Wow. I would be so impressed.

But if the DLC was a post-suicide mission only situation, it would kind of make sense as that would put it in the middle of the story as far as that romance is concerned.

Depends on how they do it.  For some reason I got the impression this was going to be some sort of bridging mission, connecting ME2 to ME3.

I like Thane and I hope they find a cure, both my male and female Shepard takes him on a mission often, but a dlc with the LI from ME1 would make me happy. Kaidan can help me find a cure for Thane.

edit missed r

this is the thing what makes thane more of an interesting guy, taking that away would just bring the character down.

so what now? he goes back to his kid to help him ? bah let him die in dignety and have his kid have a nice buildup for it. makes it more interesting.

just let it go, cant save them all

That's not true.  Difficult circumstances show aperson's true character, meaning Thane was taht awesome before he began facing death.

I don;t understand why people actually think this?  Perhaps they are just trolling<_<

Because they don't quite listen to him. He talks about his death a
lot, but it is about a spiritual/mental one and not about a physical
one. Is not his illness that defines him...

Some kind of mission that leads to a Jacob/Thane loyalty conflict?

Wow, exciting find! Personally, I wouldn't want a Cure-Thane-DLC to be honest, but I would probably buy it either way. I would prefer a DLC that could be useful for all the romances, but I guess we'll have to wait and see :)

It's Blasto as a recruitable squadmember and possible romance option for FemSheps. If you can tolerate his swashbuckling behavior with a girl in every port, hot hentai tentacle romance will be the reward.

I think it's likely to be a romance expansion, not necessarily just for FemSheps--that's probably just what she was playing as at the time. Also, females in general tend to be more in to romance ;)

Some possibilities that come to mind.

Tali--summoned to the Fleet, and gets the chance to become an Admiral?

Garrus--Anything really. C-Sec, Omega, Sidonis...

Jacob--Father's trial? Or maybe Mommy?

Jack--Cure for the neural degeneration

Thane--Cure for Kepral's

Miranda--relocating her sister, since she's not with Cerberus any more

Ashley/Kaiden--Save her/his butt from someone, maybe even a Cerberus group. Or get back in to the Alliance as a Captain

I keep having to remind myself, she specifically says mission.

A Thane Cure would be awesome.

But its probably just a chance to go shoe shopping with Liliana. Image IPB

Yea, the mission is for Femshep to make it to the Citadel without spontaneously combusting from the excitement >_>

Cool info JAB, thanks for the post. I didn't read all the comments but I agree with some that there's got to be more to that content then just curing Thane. Jack's got a deteriorating neurological condition that implied she doesn't have much time to live either.

Let's call it the disease cure dlc...thane, jack, and the genophage!
