Am I the only one who thinks it's going to be something minor and silly? Like male strippers on Omega or a new outfit/hairstyle options, etc.

Yeah, probably. Or perhaps the ability to replace Kelly with a male yeoman or something.

Ken Donnelly romance?

Edit: But that wouldn't be a "mission."

I don't quite know how people are extrapolating a Thane cure from this (as much as I'd love it). To me, it sounds more like something general, perhaps an expanding of all the femShep's love interests in some way. I'd love that.

That, or something silly like clothes and hair. But haven't even maleShep players been wanting new hairs and things, too?

Or maybe they'll give our female Shepard some new casual clothes in this ominous new DLC! A badass space pirate outfit with RIBBONS would suit my Shep really well, ohh yes.

But why would they make a DLC like that only for FemSheps? Nah, that can't be it.

Dude, javier, your on the inside now. With that said, I can take your speculation as fact.

But personally, I think BioWare will lump all the Liara-Shadow Broker, Thane cure, and other loose end completions in the expansion.  There's just so many loose ends in this game.  Dark energy, for example; there's another loose end.

They have to be saving this up for an expansion; otherwise it'll take a lot of DLC, and I don't think BioWare wants to spend that much time making ME2 DLC than working on ME3.

A mission that would make FemShep players very happy...the only significant difference with FemShep is romance options, but I find it extremely doubtful that they would dedicate an entire mission that only one gender would enjoy/be able to access. Possibly a mission with a subplot in which Garrus or Thane is significant?

Or they're just being short-sighted and assuming only chicks like Thane, in which case, Bioware, I am disappoint.

OK Annalise XP (I just finished reading Child of Fire... couldn't think of anything but that crazy lady XD
You know I'd be happy for the Thane FemSheps... if this DLC included A SHIRTLESS GARRUS!

Yes, if female players are supposed to like this DLC, it must definitely involve shoes somehow.

Maybe Shep will find the cure in Oz. The DLC includes...ruby slippers!

Part of me wants it to be an expansion on Jack's character for FemSheps; as it is, a lot of her personality(I'd say 'gooey center,' but that could be taken the wrong way) is locked if you don't romance her.

Anyway, these news do indeed make me really happy. Even if this DLC won't be for curing Thane, it seems to be something that's especially important for FemSheps, and that's great!

Agreed!  Though, a cure for Thane and the Drell would be absolutely great.  I know I would love for that to be what the DLC involves.  But, like many people have said... lots of MaleSheps like Thane (Bromance, baby), and would jump at the opportunity to find a cure.  Guess we'll just have to wait 'n see?

Oh, and Lulz... shoes & mani-pedi!  Maybe a purse to carry all my medi-gels in?  *snort*

I love Thane as a character, but I would prefer they stick to his illness as it adds a lot to his character. Finding a miraculous cure seems like a cop out.

yah cause an obscure post on twitter about female chars liking a DLC mission just SCREAMS Thane right?

amirite?

it could mean anything....personally I like Garrus better then Thane....so I can twist it just like you and say it's related to Garrus.

Or I like Kaiden...and can twist it like you to say it MUST be Kaiden related..

etc..etc..etc.

cool little splurge to start speculation but....how in the hell can you point it towards any particular character???

oh that's right..you can't.

The one problem that presented itself to the Community was the presence of Thane's illness, I can't think of any other issue that would "make femshep players very very happy", that is to say, exclusively femshep players

Reunion with Liara adding back in f/f romances. :D

Just a note, all of this is speculation on a twitter post, this is not any kind of fact

So on Christina Norman's Twitter (Lead ME2 Gameplay Designer for BioWare) She mentions that she "played a DLC mission at work that she thinks will make femshep players very, very, happy! :) "

I interpret this as, (here's the speculative jump) as there will be a DLC coming that we will get to find a cure for Thane's Kepral's Syndrome. Anyone else think this?
If not that, what else could it possibly be?

That's a big leap.

That'd make this the best DLC ever! However, you'll only be able to steal/borrow it from him if you romanced him. Why else would this only concern FemShep players?

I can almost imagine Thane's expression when FemShep casually asks him to fork over the vest.

This excites me, but I doubt it will be a cure for Thane. That's something huge, so it would be a serious kick in the stomach to the female players who don't/can't connect their 360s to the internet.

Meh, can't say I'm too thrilled if it's a mission to cure Thane. He was, for me, one of the least interesting characters in the game and one of the things I liked at the end was that you didn't discover a cure for him; I was expecting that for his Loyalty mission and it ended up being, in my opinion, a satisfying end to Thane's tale with him reconnecting with his son and partially making up for his past mistakes.

An incurable disease suddenly curable at the last possible moment in Thane's life? Cliché. Granted as a space opera there's a fair bit there already but meh. I'm sure it will be well done, however. That's a bit comforting.
