It's worth noting that Mordin has the dialog option where you can ask after the health of your squad, but it's always the same fairly neutral answer ('always some problems, nothing worth mentioning'), even when you recruit people with significant health problems like Thane, Garrus, and Tali. Some people have speculated it might be a placeholder for DLC quests, like fixing Garrus's scars.IccaRa wrote...
Oh man, this drove me nuts. Mordin never even mentions it! You'd think he'd take an interest in something like that. Mordin, I thought you and my Shepard were bros. Bros.enormousmoonboots wrote...
Mordin is hax. Seriously, when Thane was all, 'ooh, the best hanar scientists couldn't figure out how to cure it' I wanted an option to shake him and say 'You don't understand how epic Mordin is. Bro is curing the krogan genophage on his goddamn lunch break.' (Renegade option: 'The hanar are working on it? What's a BIG STUPID JELLYFISH gonna do?')

Kolyat looked so, uhm...grown-up well built for an adolescent, didn't he *tugs collar*enormousmoonboots wrote...
I'd really like to see a drell that isn't a palette-swapped Thane, actually. Kolyat has a slightly different facial structure, but below the neck it's Thane with a blue tint, I was rather disappointed by that. Now whenever I do his loyalty mission it's all I can focus on.
I'd also love to see some other drell. Especially female ones! Going to either Rakhana or Kahje might solve this problem.

Stop pretending to be a detective and look into Thane's damned sickness! It's almost suspicious how much he avoided this subject. Maybe the devs planned to make this story into a DLC from the beginning? Or they wanted to resolve this in ME3.
Maybe Mordin wants to give it to femShep as a birthday gift.
"Happy birthday, Shepard! By the way, was working on this. Enjoy." And hands her a vial labeled 'Super Awesome Mordin-made Thane Cure'.

The lady gamers would probably prefer to have a new squad mate that is a human male bad boy with a lot of confidence and a sense of humor rather than a cured Thane. Am I right?
Huh? Thane and Garrus have a huge amount of fans, and even Kaiden has a dedicated fanbase of females. I'd say most female players are satisfied. Not all, but most.

very good point, it could be Drell-DLC with a Thane-specific side-arc.
I was extremely disappointed that we only saw one other drell in the entire game, and encountered zero hanar NPCs. What a step back from ME1. The jellies are actually kind of interesting now.
Some kind of hanar/drell/something DLC would address all of that. Maybe we can visit a colony of some sort? I don't think we'll be going somewhere like Kahje or Rakhana, though that would be amazing.
I would be exstatic if it were some Drell/Hanar DLC... because ever since finding out Hanar train assassins... I cannot get out of my mind how much more sinister their race has become. My hub and I were talking about how similiar to the whole idea of saving face (like chinese or japanese culture almost) it is.
Because really... why else would a society of uber polite zeolots need to train another race to kill each other? (or other races/heretics?)
The jellies are evil man... you watch.

Fo sho'. The head models are very different (Kolyat is all angles with a sharp jaw, hooked nose and prominent chin, and his cranium is longer as well.) The jacket, though... seriously Kolyat, emulate much? I want to see what other styles of dress drell wear, although I realize this may be a bit complicated considering they're something of cultural chameleons.
Granted Kolyat is better covered than Thane is. He wears gloves and an undersuit that blocks his chest and back. And a mysterious zipper that is in the middle of a zipper. It's... confusing and vaguely twilight zone-ish.
Anyway it was kinda funny seeing them side by side. Half the screen was collars.

They would still have a surface based port. Hanar are definitely engaged in commerce enough to justify a port city. I can't help but associate Kahje to my beloved Manaan. Though the Hanar are hardly Selkath...
Rakhana would be really crazy to see since it is in such terrible shape. If anything i think Kahje would be more likely than Rakhana. I can definitely see a Paragon choice to help the Drell become independent of both Rakhana and the Hanar, and a Renegade choice to expand Hanar-Drell efforts, so Hanar get more servitude, but you still strengthen the Drell. We could be offered a large sum of money to help a shady Hanar... 8)
I really like the idea of a shady renegade Hanar...

There are islands, and the biodomes that the drell live in. I'd be interested in seeing how BioWare could present such a world... it'd be a lot different from some of the other planets we get to visit. And full of jellies.

Should be available pre-suicide mission for the folks who decide just do new game+ instead of continuing to play after the credits roll.scyphozoa wrote...
I also feel like making this Thane mission available prior to the Suicide mission makes TONS more sense to me. This completely circumvents the risk of keeping squaddies alive post-suicide mission.

The only difficulty involved in this is that Thane can't really say that he's sick if he's cured before you talk to him on the normandy >_> That's a potential...obstacle.scyphozoa wrote...

Manaan was probably my favorite KotOR planet.
HK: Suggestion: Perhaps we could dismember the organic? It would make it easier for transport to the surface.
Mercenary: Hey! Y-you... you can't rip me to pieces! I'll die!
HK: Amendment: I did forget that. Stupid, frail, non-compartmentalized meatbags!

Except this would invalidate his romance's climactic interlude before the Omega-4 relay. Post-suicide mission is better.
