Dwarf Commoner
Human Noble
Human Mage
Origins I'm not interested in
Dwarf Noble
Dalish/City Elf
I'm really interested at being the lowest of the low as a commoner, plus I've never played a dwarf. With humans you're also always the little guy, It'd be a twist to actually start out on top for once.
Plus, Highever Castle looks awesome!

Human noble doesnt interest me that much either, but its the only option for human warriors and rogues and I usually play humans and no mages.
I am hoping the human noble origin reveals you are adopted, an illegitemate child or something like that. The rest of the family will most likely not match your character after all. Being a bastard could be a good explanation for that.

1. Dwarf Commoner
2. Dwarf Noble
3. City Elf
4. Mage
5. Human Noble
6. Dalish Elf
Might play as a City Elf second just to break it up a bit. I never wanted to play dwarves before but I think they arguably have the best origins in this game.

Actually, symmetry would have been the proper choice of word... Which means that, no, I'll play through once with all elf Origins (twice for the mage) as they are the "middle race".Kilsot wrote...
Also means you would only play one of City or Dalish elves, but not both.twincast wrote...
Mind you, the second reason I won't play through with a dwarf commoner is silly, but it would hurt my equal opportunity heart to play through with a second dwarf origin while not being able to do so with a second human origin.
My drive for symmetry and parallelity is actually kind of ironic as I consider freedom way more important than order in real life. (The state's got a duty to look after the wellbeing of its citizens though, but I digress.) I'm complicated like that.

I love them as sidekicks (dwarfs rock and roll), but as PC's I've never had much luck getting into them.

The one I am least looking forward to is the Dwarf Noble. I am just not a manipulative, scheming b**** and the need to play as one (which is what the lore seems to call for) makes me want to grind my teeth. If I do it at all, it will either be last, or because I hear that it is really just that cool.
Actually, from what I understand, the role of the Dwarven Noble is about realizing the hypocrisy and illegitimacy of the aristocracy.
Help! Help! I'm being oppressed. You saw him oppress me, didn't you?!?!

Dwarf Commoner is at the top of my list. Human Noble on the bottom....
