The one I am least looking forward to is the Dwarf Noble. I am just not a manipulative, scheming b**** and the need to play as one (which is what the lore seems to call for) makes me want to grind my teeth. If I do it at all, it will either be last, or because I hear that it is really just that cool.

Actually, from what I understand, the role of the Dwarven Noble is about realizing the hypocrisy and illegitimacy of the aristocracy.

Help! Help! I'm being oppressed. You saw him oppress me, didn't you?!?!

HAHA you cant expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you, come see the violence inherit in the system!

I'm uncertain that I'll ever play either of the Dwarven origins.

Out of all the Origins, I think the Dwarf Noble interests me least, even with all of the political intrigue. I'm not a Dwarf person anyway, I prefer Elves to Humans and Dwarves. (But only if we're talking about the Warcraft setting, which we're not.) The Dwarf Commoner Origin seems more interesting because people expect you to be an honorless dog, but you may be able to prove that you have more honor than those with station do.

Not a mage fan. The Silly spell slinging sissies can all be tranquil for all I care.

I can honestly say that all of the origins hold at least a passing interest for me. Although the Human Noble and Dalish elf interest me least, so I'll probably save them for last.

Right now I'm thinking City Elf Rouge as my first character, with a Dwarf Commoner coming up next in line. I feel like being repressed and spit upon by the gameworld, just to see how deep the origin stories effect NPC actions.

Playing all the origin stories is pretty much required if you want to see everything the game has to offer. Especially after having completed the game once, playing other origin stories will offer more insight to characters and places you encountered in your original playthrough.

Which is part of the reason why I'm looking foward to this game as much as I am!  Think of the amount of hours you can put into this game if you are interested in delving into the different dynamics of each origin / background story on the classes

The only origin I cringe about playing is the Dwarf noble...and only for one real reason. The origin itself is intriguing and (hopefully) nuanced.

But, the name is awful.....

Im not sure if its a nod to Street fighter or not, but "Aeducan" sounds like it should produce fireballs when you yell it out loud ala Ryu and Ken.

I'm definitely going to play through the beginning of each origin, but I doubt I'll play through the entire game with all of them. After spoiling myself on some of the storyline, I think I'll start with a human noble, and an elf mage second.

The two dwarf origins are least interesting to me. To put it frankly, dwarfs are just stupid. I probably won't ever play them, but i might just do it to complete the experience of the game someday.

I have no interest in playing dwarves but I'm going to play the two origins and then stop. Not sure if the common origin will work out like it is intended since I only play girl toons.

Dalish elves are boring in my opinion. I just don't like the idea of a magical item you stumble across turning your world upside down... feels a too contrived. However, I'll probably play all the origins.

Least interesting for me is probably the human and noble. The City elf will be my first playthrough, and holds the most interest to me. I imagine I'll end up trying them all eventually. Actually I can probably list out my order:

1) City Elf, 2) Dwarf Commoner, 3) Mage (race unknown), 4. Dwarf Noble, 5) Daelish Elf, 6) Human Noble.

The ones towards the bottom are subject to change, but I'm guessing the first 3 will be done just so.

I intend to play them all, eventually, but... the Dalish Elves don't seem that interesting, paticularly compared to the drama of a City Elf. Dwarves aren't that interesting to me either, actually, although I probably will play a Dwarf Noble- Rogue City Elf, Human Mage, Warrior Dwarf Noble seems like a good series for my first three characters, even if I find the Human Noble origin more interesting.

I usually don't like fantasy elves, so Dalish elves are my least favorite. City elves seem like a big enough departure from the norm to make them interesting.

Other than that, both the "noble" origins don't scream PLAY ME as well -- seems like it'd be more interesting to start as someone with nothing and work the way up the food chain than someone who starts with everything and fights to maintain that level.

Probably won't play any dwarf or elf origins because I don't like dwarves or elves.

I don't know if I answered this already, but I'm planning on playing through all the origin stories, it's just that the Dalish Elf one didn't seem as interesting to me as the City Elf one.

I'm also not a big fan of dwarves, but I like politicking so I've created a female dwarf noble in the character creator for use after I've beaten the game as a mage.

Agreed. My first two characters are going to be elves, and I thought about giving one of them the Dalish origin, but yeah, the general trope of it kind of seems a little too cliché to me. But one of them is male, so perhaps it will be different depending on gender for the City Elf Origin. :3

Dwarves never really used to interest me. From the DnD that i've played, they were all just stereotypical Tolkien Dwarves. But the DA ones seem kind of more dynamic, so I'm definitely going to try their origins out. :D

Totally uninterested in Dalish elf. City elf looks OK, but I can't bring myself to care about Dalish elf for whatever reason.

If it's not a dark elf, I will never play an elf.  That sounds retarded, I know, but that's how I am ^_^

I'll probably try all of them, probably dalish and dwarf noble however are likely to be the last ones i try. Plus there's no guarantee that the character I get through the origin will continue through the game, i just want to see what every origin is like, then my favourite chars will continue on.

Any dwarf ones. Simply don't like dwarves as main characters. I think playing as a dwarf would be odd. I never once considered starting as a dwarf. Noble or commoner.

Now, I'm torn between the City Elf and Dalish Elf. I like the Dalish aspect of being an elf that is not a part of the corrupted/oppressive society, being independent and so forth, but the City Elves get that whole "revenge against oppressors" thing, which would be interesting...
