In case you havn't noticed or don't know humans with blonde hair and blue eyes are very rare and virtually non-existant in the Mass Effect universe. Told in books, codex, and through observation further  explained through genetics that after a few generations these genetic traits were loss to more dominate traits I supose. It just doesn't seem to make sense however that their are more red haired people then there are blondes since red hair is a recessive trait as far as I know abot genetics (which isn't alot to be honest). So why are blondes so rare? Furthermore why can't they use genetic engineering to make blonde hair and blue eyes more common again after all in our modern society having blond hair and blue eyes is considered attractive and has been since so since anitquity times (I think). So why have the scientist not done anything or give a better reason as to why no one is doing anything about it.

I've done my part. I've got jars full of both in my secret crawlspace.

Actually, it's because both blonde hair and blue eyes are caused by recessive genes, essentially it's what happens when genetics goes wrong. They'll be wiped out because the only way they would survive is inter-breeding.

Blonde hair and blue eyes people aren't going to go extinct. Recessive genes are actually hard to get rid of.

Miranda was going to be blonde, but they decided she looked better as a brunette due to her outfit.

Personally I think it might also be because most characters that do have blonde hair in this engine don't look all that great. Every blonde Shepard I've tried to make has looked a little off to me. Maybe the designers thought the same thing, and just decided to avoid using blonde hair very much.

The belief that in a sci-fi-ish future everyone will be of mixed race is bull****. In a world where planets and moons can be colonized, or even terraformed in loads of sci-fi, we'll have Ku Klux planet. And planet ****. Or, for that matter, planet Nation of Islam and planet Taliban (not too familiar with Asian nationalist groups but whatever.)

Well a little off topic, but you notice how nobody is overweight in the game? Everybody is slim and fit (except the Volus). No big deal, but it may add a little realism if you saw a dude at Afterlife that was overweight with a big cigar hanging out of his mouth. Or is that cured in the scifi future?

Hardly.
Ideas like race and religion are too small to be important.

Creating models for this is time consuming and expensive.  Would you rather see an overweight human or a female Turian?

There was that officer right outside of C-Sec in ME1.  Well actually it was just his face, not his body.

You mean I have to pick.  Even an overwwight human is more attractive than a Turian  male or female (don't know what a female Turian looks like though) IMO.

Eh, global migration and cultural trends would have to change quite a bit for ME's universe to accurately shape up with reality. I think there also should be a lack of Redheads if memory serves me correctly in ME since there is a lack of blondes, but in reality you should see a few hanging around, like Bailey and Verner. Kelly. But to go out of the way to say blondes are nearly extinct is something else.

Natural Selection, you see. So many cliffs, so few blondes.
