At least the Mass Effect universe has (presumably?) dye jobs like Kelly running around to keep the memories of gingerdom alive.

*SIGH* More ignorant anti-nazi babble from what I'm guessing is an american who's been brain-washed by television and corrupt education.
Edit - Alright BioWare, that's ridiculous... The word 'Nazi' is blocked??? Is KGB or CIA blocked? Didn't think so...
P.S. This game really needs more blond haired / blue-eyed women... So sexy...

She has the milky fair skin and the bright green eyes to go with that carrot top... I think she's an honest to god ginger!
.. hard to say, though, without being able to see the drapes AND the carpet

While I would like to think we'll still be around in 2185, if natural blondes have disappeared, I'm guessing real, live gingers probably have as well.
If BioWare wants to prove me wrong on that count, though, I certainly won't complain!

I was going to say "Because we're trying to eliminate the dumb blonde factor" but this works.
I'd think we'd be more worried about green eyes disapearing. Aren't they supposedly rarer than blue?

Red hair is far rarer than any eye color, and is most important to be preserved IMHO.

So not having said traits in "modern society" makes you unattractive eh?
More to the point, why in the nine hells does it even matter!?

I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like a blanket statement that somebody pulled out of their rear end. Of course, if whoever said that has quantitative proof that such traits are considered attractive by

And judging by the look in her eyes, Harbinger has just 'assumed control' and wants to kill me.

I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like a blanket statement that somebody pulled out of their rear end. Of course, if whoever said that has quantitative proof that such traits are considered attractive bythe mindless herdsociety, then that would be different.
It' can only be considered a trend really, and only in certain segments of certain societies at that. Some people like polka dots, some people like stripes. Same people might like something completely different in 10, 20, 100 years.
The issue of a future mixed race is an interesting one, and there are theories out there that just within our planet, the future will see recessive genes fade away as populations become less and less isolated. But when populations split up and migrate to new worlds where they become isolated again, hybridizations would probably develop again, but so slowly that the fact that there is space travel would negate any possibility that a group is isolated long enough for it to happen. They would have to be stranded for thousands of years.
