Seriously, the only person who moves on the Normandy is you. I'd love to see a more active crew and squad in ME3. Like, maybe you could be talking to Gardner and Garrus would take a break from calibrating for some food, and you guys could do small talk. Or the crew would actually use their bunks every now and then.

That'd be pretty cool.

I think an AI as opposed to scripted movements would be hella cool.

Yeah they can use Oblivion's AI.
Marvel as Garrus gets stuck in the door, Samara walks through the observation room window, Miranda continually sits up and down and guards burst into your quarters and arrest you for that piece of fruit you took a week ago.

"STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM! NOBODY BREAKS THE LAW ON MY WATCH!"

"Garrus, calm down."

Garrus has no time for talk, he's calibrating his "weapon" if you catch my drift.

its possibly the whole "Oh **** here comes shepard look busy!"

thats why garrius is always calibrating

Legion is in constant consensus

Miranda has alot of paperwork

Tali is working on engines

and Mordin is always trying to figure somthing out

Hell the only person that always seems willing to talk constantly is joker lazy sob

That would be awesome. Even better they can bring back "pshyic" guards all around teh universe, so no matter where you go they all know you stole that fruit! ^_^

The best part will be if you destroy the citadel you only have to wait three days and everyone will forget.

Shepard is actually a real jerk and nails their feet to the floor when they're not on a mission.

its been brought up a few times.. i would love it if they did move around!
problem 1: making sure there isn't a noticeable loop (cue: truman show scene)
problem 2: being able to find crew members after they move around to chat.(ME2: crew on different levels) without feeling like you have to do a run around.

possible solution 1: EDI updates you where certain crew member can be found, if you activate a prop, say-Garrus's calibrations table. or the good ol' sticky note.
possible solution 2: chill-out room with bar/kitchen/window seats/tv/music etc (a central located area designed for all crew members/taste) so if they do move around, they could possibly be found there. This could also activate crew member conversations when you approach.I'm thinking the mess-hall/central area just where the kitchen is. where the table or 'crew' sit. redesign that area :P its possible consdering they could change things after the end-attack.

I will only support this if I'm allowed to ask crew members to come to me using an intercom at certain points, like the bridge or my cabin.

Otherwise, I have no wish to chase my crew around the ship.

If they took out squad banter I doubt they would add something like this. They're more concerned with gameplay and combat now than they are with RPG elements.

^agreed. let them come to you if there not in their 'quarters'
good idea *magic teleport WOOSHHH door opens to reveal character... or character walks in from off screen :P*
i dont want a *fade to black* then character appears and your talking scene either. seems cheap.

You're right. I was just making the point that if Bioware doesn't even include the squard banter in ME2 that was present in ME1, then I doubt that they would do something like the OP suggested, which is on an even higher RPG level than banter.
