IccaRa is spot on, hah.

At this point it is kind of a friends-with-benefits thing, but there's a possibility of more going on.  I'm hoping ME3 will give you the option to move it towards something more significant.

Nah. Otherwise, your option to reject him wouldn't be "I want to be your friend". That's the entire point of FRIENDS with benefits, isn't it? You have sex, but you're still just friends. I think that conversation is the one that pushes the relationship into something more, but it isn't outright stated.

Also, I too consider Shepard to be 29 since he/she did not really age physically or mentally during those 2 years. So Tali's romance is definitely not "cradle-robbing".

Shepard is 29, Tali is 24. How is a 5 year difference cradle robbing? Does the 6 year difference between Miranda (35) and Shepard count as her cradle robbing? How about the 10 year difference between Thane (39) and Shepard? Does that count?

Shepard's 31, but yeah. That isn't really cradle robbing.
EDIT: Nevermind, ninja edit.

Yeah, it's such a shame that FemSheps get to choose between chiseled abs, silver-smooth space ninjas and scarred-up studs. It's such a shame that she can finally taste the alien and racial rainbow in ways ManShep only wishes he could. Such a shame that all the options are different and appeal to a variety she's never had before, like a galactic buffet of hawt. Such a shame that they all express genuine interest in her. Such a shame that none of them have to rely on pink lasers and mind magic to please her. Such a shame.

YES! ^^^^^This. And buffet of hawt is sig-worthy XD

I understand what you mean when you say that it is not cradle robbing. From my perspective, shepard has always seemed much older to me, than Tali.

But as previously stated their ages are much closer. (I didn't realise this)

Thank you, Finally a voice of reason and common sense.  See you girl gamers got it made.  Garrus, Jacob, and Thane are alot better than Miranda, Tali, and Jack.  You just have to put things in perspective.:wizard:Now lets quit whining and close this thread.

Well, from my perspective, femshep could have Miranda, Jack, Garrus, Jacob, and Thane, and Maleshep could just have Tali and I'd complain since Tali is by far my favorite LI.

Also: Did anyone else expect Jack to be a LI for male and femshep? When you ask her if she had any friends she says "If you mean girlfriends or boyfriends, no". Seems like she is at least open to the idea, but thats just conjecture on my part.

I romanced Garrus for the GS then deleted her. I remain faithful to Kaidan and the only one that cheated is my male Shepard, isn't that how it's meant to be? Stupid email...

The options for female Shepard suck though. A tosser, Jacob. You're the prize. Who wrote that? Geez.

Thane, he needs a friend not a lover. Plus he'll be dead soon, she doesn't need more grief.

And Garrus. Ok Garrus maybe, if I had a "didn't romance Kaidan Shepard". But honestly it was creepy, like romancing your brother or best buddy. Plus he seemed to object or wanted to the whole time, all those paragon responses would get you out of it. Does that not tell you something?

All the Paragon responses with Tali got you out of it too, yet Tali clearly didnt object to it, since she literally pounces on shepard at the end.

Paragon responses dont always make sense.

Lol.  Seriously.  I got kind of sick of her; wear some real armor girlie.
Jack . . . within a couple of conversations you get accused of wanting to have sex with her!
This also happens even if you're a friggin femShep.  She told me she wasn't into the "girl's club" or whatever; I was like...wtf!  If there had been an option of 'If you think I'm hitting on you, you're more stupid and self-obsessed than I originally thought,' I would have picked it.
Kelly is basically a booty call.....with the possibly of STD's.
Omg LOL.  And yet so true, so true...

These threads will never die.  A fair amount of gamers like f/f romances and there wasn't one in ME2....so they're not going to be pleased with any of the dudes offered no matter what.

I agree that the female romances are terrible, but to be honest I find faults with all of the male romances in the entire series also

For her they do. You can make her sick and that's what he's concerned about. Or seceretly she's a tubafaced Rodian. But I think it's the health for the most part. For Garrus it's all about the the friendship. Geez....

Of course.  I am sure there are gamers that want a m/m romance also, but it isn't quite as acceptable to discuss is it?
I don't personally want any gay romances, but I remember one thread someone created about no m/m options in the game and he was chastised by nearly everyone.
All of this talk about being fair is just really about the individual.  Both Femshep and MaleShep need to be at least both bisexual to be fair.  But would that be fair?  Then you got players that are complaining that they want a straight only Shep.

I believe getting out of the relationship is always in the Paragon spot, for all romances (notably, you get no Paragon points for it). The game's sort of built on the assumption you romanced someone in ME1 and thus, getting out of the 'cheating' relationship would be the Paragon option.

Paragon responces for Jack and Thane move the relationship forward though. As far as I know the only two that can be "talked out" of it are those two, Tali and Garrus.

On a side note, after you decide to have a relatioship with Thane then chicken out and try break up with him. He's clingy...That's when I decided on Garrus...shame on me stringing a sick man along.

Which is irrelevant. The lack of f/f is in no way these characters fault. They have nothing to do with it. You don't have to romance them. Simple as that.

It's like looking at a basket of apples and saying "This basket has no oranges!" and then looking for reasons to hate the apples because they are not oranges. What the heck? The apples were never TRYING to be oranges. It's not their fault you didn't get an orange. It's projection.

And let's be frank, most people who come to these boards saying "OMG FEMALE SHEPARD ROMANCES SUUUCK WHERE IS MY F/F OPTION B'AAAAAWWW" are not genuinely interested in the depth of a f/f romance, nor are they lesbians -- they are straight guys who are butthurt that they can't get an OMG TEH LESBIANZ scene in ME2 so now their buxom FemShep has no purpose because, let's face it, one of the only reasons they even made one was to get the OMG TEH LESBIANZ scene with Liara in ME1.

Just sayin'. As far as those types of complaints go, I am content to cackle wildly while lounging in a pile of smoking hot malien men.

FemShep and MaleShep's sexualities are defined by the player though.  If people want a straight only Shepard, they can play a straight only Shepard.  Shepard's sexuality is independent of the romance options offered to him/her.  Just because there's a m/m option for MaleShepard, doesn't make him bisexual.  I played a lesbian FemShep in ME2 all three times I played the game, even though there were only males available for romance.

Fair would be offering a m/m option to the guy Shepards and a f/f option to the gals.  That didn't happen this time, of course :crying:

So, wouldn't that mean that Male Shepard's are at a disadvantage, then?

I think the amount of romance options for FShep are sufficient. She has male, female, alien and malien, paragon, renegade, blue, chocolate, green, etc.

Males have almost the same amount of diversity, imo.

I have a theory that all of this F/F stuff that so many guys are exicted about nowadays started in 70's Porn and has grown bigger ever since.  I never have been the type that goes with trends or whats hip or politically correct.
