Biggest thing I've noticed in playing manShep vs femShep is that femShep has to be the one to make the 1st move with all 3. But with manShep, I felt a bit like I had to beat Jack and Miranda off with a stick. And Kelly lets you know that Tali "wants more".
I guess that in this universe, women are always the instigators? On the upside, this makes it remarkably easy for my femShep to stay loyal to her ME1 LI.

I never romanced Jacob--not because he's boring, but he is unfriendly. When I tried to talk to him (albeit in the forced flirtatious way femShep does) he gets terse with me! Then he welcomes Zaheed aboard while shortly thereafter berating Thane for being practically a merc. Boring doesn't seem like the right word for Jacob, but it will come to me.

Especially the Jack situation.  I was hoping their was some way to convince her character to stop being such a self-centered little ****, but instead she thinks I'm hitting on her.  EW DO NOT WANT.  

The scene where Jack was jumping over that thing next to her bed just made me want to beat the crap out of her.  Seriously, who thinks people like that are 'edgy' or 'cool?'

Yeah, Miranda's face looks fine when viewed straight on, but at a slight angle looks a little... off.  Limits of the game engine, I think, same reason the poured drinks look so much crappier than anything else in the game.

I love femshep's options, but then I'm straight and I've got nothing wrong with romancing a person that looks different - they're still just people, whether they're "alien" or not.



And the LIs from ME2 were fifty billion times better than the ones from ME1. I...can't...stand...Kaidan.

I liked Garrus though. It was a little weird because I think of turians as so ugly they're kindacutebutnotquite, but I liked that they had history.

Male writers? Maybe that's their ideal world. They can just sit back while women throw themselves at them.

Not to be pushy or anything but I still think Joke should have been a romance option, at least he has beeen with Shepard the longest and both times Shepard died the emotion that he showed really got to me. Yeah he has Vrolik's Syndrome but I think Cerberus must have done something to him because he is doing all sorts of stuff he could'nt have done in ME1 due to only being able to walk with crutches or a leg brace. And to all those who say nooo he should be with EDI, fair enough that's cool but I still think those of us who would like the option should be able to get it and if not let him have EDI. I mean Tali fans got Tali and Garrus fans got Garrus, Joker is one of the most awesome characters in both games but he is so poorly underused it's not funny.



We can only hope they miht do something with him in ME3.



oh and I stayed loyal to Kaidan my first playthrough and romanced Thane my second, at first i'm all like eww fish face no way, but Thane kinda grew on me so it was sweet in the end.



If I don't end up ever getting Joker then i'll happily keep Kaidan for my main LI but I won't be happy if there isn't any development in ME3, the ME1 had so little to do in ME2 that hopefully there was a reason and they will make p for it in ME3.

Keep pushing for him and maybe you'll get it. Most important thing is that Bioware hears about the joker fans and that they want a romance.

deserving better - works perfectly for male Shepard, Tali rambling

What does female Shepard get? The only one that acknowledges the fact
that Shepard is a female outside of LI is Aria at some point saying
something like "find yourself a young man".



And what is Bioware planning? Kasumi - because male Shepard can never
have enough women around him.



It is annoying and frustrating to be left out.



And just for the sake of it and because male Shepard could never have
any type of competition Bioware decided that Thane is dying.

I hate threads like these that immediately assume the opposite gender's romances are any better.



Besides, I know several women who enjoy Thane or Garrus. And although you wouldn't think it if you just browse this particular forum and no others that have discussions about ME2, male players playing FemShep are so fanatical about Garrus that they make Tali fans here almost look tame. He's very popular and loved. Hard to imagine, I know. But trust me...don't go searching for Garrus art without filters turned on. You'll regret it.

I agree with you. There is that one batarian who suggests Shepard should be a stripper though. And a drunk turian who wants to go home with Shepard when the asari stripper turns him down. But certainly no fawning attractive men like the women who flock around male Shepard. I've read Gianna Parsini kisses male Shepard too.

You know, I was just thinking today how it seems weird that those two conflicts are the only ones; they make a big deal about how "your teammates would not always get along" in the lead-up to ME2, and those were the only two occasions.  Especially since they had all that tension between Jacob and Thane when he got recruited; I could have easily seen a conflict between those two, at the very least, to have some romantic tension for the ladies.  Not sure who Garrus would fight with, but they could have probably come up with something.

Now, me personally, I don't find any of the male romantic partners in ME2 all that interesting.  Yeah, I am a guy, but I probably count Alistair in DA:O as one of the best written romances BioWare has done, so I'm good with having my female avatar get sexed up by the men.  I mean, it's probably just my tastes, and the men have their fans (well, except Jacob ), but they just didn't click for me.
