I want to hear the full brilliance of the soundtrack in it's full glory. But the only thing i found was MP3 downloads from Amazon or iTunes.

That can change if enough people request it, though, and I know a lot of people (yours truly included) wants one.
Heck, afaik the first CD sold pretty well, I'd be surprised if the demand for an ME2 CD wasn't at least high enough to make it worthwhile from an economic point of view.

A ME2 soundtrack is listed in the BioWare store and at Amazon.
One of the highlights in Mass Effect 2, this song…
The Abridged Mass Effect 2, a must read. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1777005

I don’t get why thy wouldn’t release a soundtrack for ME2 its not like it wouldn’t sell. Tons of other game companies release soundtracks to their games. I prefer a physical cd instead of the mp3 garbage myself.

I think you got it wrong, there IS a soundtrack available, but it is Digital Download only and we are asking for a CD.
Also, DAO OST CD is still listed as coming soon too on BW store and the game was out nearly 3 months before ME2.

Is there a shop where i can buy the whole Mass Effect 2 soundtrack on CD? I don't want the soundtrack in such a lossy format as MP3. FLAC would be suitable as it's a lossless audio codec.

Bioware spent thousands of dollars highering people to record the music, Jack Wall spent many many hours composing it and seeing to it's develpment, I think of it as an insult to listening to it on anything less than lossless or CD. It's like playing Mass Effect 2 on a 12 inch tube tv, sure you'll still be playing but you'll be missing out on so much compared to a 1080p tv with 5.1 surround.

...most people's ears can't tell the difference between CD and MP3 quality so there probably won't be much call for a CD.

A Compact Disc, you know for a CD player. Wow, I feel old if people don't know what a CD is anymore. I also have to agree with a CD soundtrack I can buy a song from ITunes but it has that protection on it soo it is no good on an xbox.Slidell505 wrote...
