as much as id prefer a femshep cover, etc i know they will always defer to the default shepard which is male

I really liked the box art of the ME2 CE and would love to see something similar on the cover of ME3 maybe the Normandy or a closeup of the N7 helmet with closed visor.

I agree, I havent seen any good art cover in awhile, I kindve like the DA:O one

Anything other than the angry trio on the ME2 standard edition would be much welcomed indeed .
Seriously, Sheploo looks creepy on that one . Not that I'm too fond of him but I almost felt sorry for him  .
So in a way I'm glad Femshep didn't ge the same treatment :happy:

I wish there was better representation for FemShep, myself. A few of my friends got the impression there was no option for customizing your Shepard. For a game about *your* own Shepard, they didn't really flaunt that.

And yeah, ME2's boxart was awful. I want something like the CE's design. And if people have a problem with it because it isn't 'newcomer friendly'? Fuck those 'newcomers'. If they're walking into the FINAL installment of a game trilogy with no prior knowledge about the trilogy, they deserve to be lost.

I think the only extremely small chance of femshep getting more attention at this rate would be if Bioware hired another model to create a default femshep appearence for ME3. As is they have Sheploo and want to use that face to sell the game.



Doesn't really bother me personally, so long as femshep and Jennifer Hale are in the game they will get far more of the kudos (and that they deserve) that matter than the still worthy maleshep combo. The standard box art could certainly be improved regardless: I still think boxart without Shep on it at all would work best ala Collectors edition box.

Way back when Mass Effect 1 was released, I posted on the BioWare forums why all of their screenshots and posters and wallpapers centred around the Male Shepard figure. I suggested they do some marketing using the female Shepard figure.

One of the ME team came back and said it wasn't going to happen as all the marketing centres around the male Shepard figure.

So, basically, it won't be done.

This, male shep happens to be a highly detailed model of Mark Vanderloo, They're not going to change, especially not with two games, two box art covers, and two sets of marketing geared towards a male "Commander Shepard"

I don't understand how anyone can feel slighted by this though, I myself, (while being a guy) exclusively play as a femshep, anywho

I propose the idea of CE editions having male and female shepard versions for the box art.But it's not really an important issue.

Yeah, who cares. Femshep is more awesome... but I don't care about marketing. I only play the game. Whatever sells best.



No need to tell EA's marketing division what to do.
